"BEWARE. unprofessional, dirty, rushed office. I should have left the moment I walked into the waiting room. You know when you can just feel something is off? The place looked depressing and dirty, from the front office to the treatment rooms and hallways. I arrived 5 minutes prior to my appointment, already had my paperwork finished and still had to wait nearly half an hour to be greeted by someone who looked very unprofessional and never even introduced herself. Was she a nurse? Was she an assistant? Was she someone who just walked in randomly? Have no idea. She was wearing a crew neck sweater and ugg boots and had a very dismissive apathetic aura. After she weighed me she sat me in a room and took another 15 minutes to come back to finish going over paperwork. She didn't even confirm my birthdate or anything standard to assure I was the correct patient. She also proceeded to sit her laptop on the counter right on top of the gloves that were already laid out to be used on me. And in between filling out stuff on the computer she accidentally swiped over on a tab where she was shopping online at Shein. Very unprofessional. Probably what took her so long to come back. Also no one here walks patients up, including the doctor. After telling me to get undressed, I proceeded to wait over half an hour for the doctor to come in. I almost got up and got dressed and left. This is ridiculous. I gave myself 5 more minutes even though I wish I had followed my gut and left. The doctor finally comes in, introduces herself but doesn't even greet me properly, again, doesn't confirm my identity, doesn't go over any of my paperwork or any concerns. Didn't even address the fact that my mother had cervical cancer. Why would she care though? Then she proceeds to rush through the exam, asks me the same question twice as if she wasn't even paying attention to what the hell I was saying. Then does the pap, which I'm not even sure I was due for yet? So I'm thoroughly confused. Then as she's getting ready to dismiss me, I'm like uh am I going to have routine screening for STDs and blood borne pathogens? I usually get it annually since I work in Healthcare and am exposed daily. She then says something about my insurance not covering and I'm like when did I say anything about that? Also since when are they concerned about coverage when they provide unnecessary treatment that isn't in the parameters of my insurance? The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. Then after the doctor leaves the room and I get dressed, no one walks me to the front desk for check out or anything. I go to the front desk and ask "is this where I check out?" Then I stand there for 5 minutes before being told to sit down because apparently it takes 20 minutes to print out a piece of paperwork for additional lab requests (which I will not being following through with this office!) I was also a new patient. I was not treated with any warm welcome, especially in a place that is already so uncomfortable for a woman. I will never ever be returning here, I should have listened to my instincts the moment I arrived. Do not go here!!!"
"I went to see Dr Thomson after dealing with debilitating period cramps/other endometriosis symptoms for years. I suspected that I may have endometriosis and told her in depth about just how awful the pain is every month and she completely dismissed the severity of my pain and said “well everyone feels pain differently.” I told her that I believe I might have endometriosis and she immediately shut that idea down. Left the appointment in tears feeling like she didn’t listen to a word I was saying. Found a new gynecologist somewhere else who was much better, validated my feelings, did a diagnostic laparoscopy to check for endometriosis, and I was officially diagnosed with endometriosis. I wouldn’t recommend Dr Thomson to anyone."
"i came a week early on accident, i got my days mixed up, i told them it was no big deal and i could come back on my scheduled date. they said no worries we can fit you in, which i was grateful for. however they definitely rushed me filling out the paperwork, the nurse literally just stood over me while i did it and i got the vibe she wanted me to hurry. they took me back and the nurse was incredibly unfriendly and not personable. when i saw the dr i mentioned i was having ovary pain and i suspected a cyst, she basically just told me it doesn’t sound like it and that i have a hernia. (i work an office job sitting at a computer all day; it was definitely not a hernia) went for an ultrasound and i do have a large cyst that’s continuously causing me pain. never be afraid to get a second opinion."
"This is long overdue I love Dr Thompson she was wonderful before my c-section/tubal I started to flatline she didn’t lie to me she told me step by step what was going on and she was bringing my hear rate back up, she delivered a perfectly healthy baby and I was fine too. She visited us almost daily and kept the nurses and staff updated on my wishes and concerns"
"I don’t recommend Dr. Thomson because she has no regard or respect for her patients. I was referred to her for my tubal ligation and most of our consultation was your usual breeder bingo questions and then all the possible complications of the procedure. She didn’t discuss the quality of life that it can provide or that the risks for experiencing any complication is minimal. In addition, I had questions and concerns of my own that I wanted to address during our consultation, but I wasn’t given any opportunity to. Then, before heading to the operating room, she asked me, in front of my mother, to confirm whether I wished to continue with my sterilization. This is problematic because I had wanted to keep this procedure from my family, and I think it’s reasonable to expect your provider to assume you may want to keep procedures private, or at least ask whether it’s okay to discuss the procedure while family is present. Lastly, a few weeks following the procedure, I followed up with her and had to wait at least 30 minutes with my pants off (unnecessarily) only for her to not inform me what happened during the procedure."
