"Saw Dr Katz after my Dr for many years retired.Very impressed with him. Friendly, knowledgeable, listened to my concerns. Highly recommend."
"Dr Katz mis-diagnosed my wife as having miscarriage and insisted on "aspiration" procedure to remove embryo and placenta from pregnant mother, prior to running standard HCG tests. (2 quantitative HCG tests should have been made prior to diagnosis - this step was skipped... possible overconfidence?). Promptly saw different OB-GYN. Pregnancy turned out to be healthy & OK, HCG growing as expected, embryo developing properly & heartbeat present, etc. Good news. A few concerns we have with Dr Katz: 1) Dr Katz did not take into account possibility of incorrect last period date, (date slippage), although him and staff were advised the last date may not be correct. 2) Dr Katz insisted on a missed abortion/miscarriage diagnostic in the absence of the standard HCG tests (this is a no-no in my mind... but what do I know, right?) 3) Dr Katz continued to back his previous diagnosis of miscarriage even though the test he himself requested (in response to my wife's hesitation to his suggested procedures) showed HCG numbers in line with week 4 gestation. He insisted (prior to patient leaving the office) that miscarriage is what has happened, because the numbers for Week 6 (which is what he continued to argue, should have been) are higher, and continued presenting "aspiration" procedures. 4) given all I know now, I tend to believe that Dr Katz was less interested in doing a full investigation and proper testing and more interested in performing the embryo and placenta aspiration procedures... showing complete lack of care for the actual pregnancy and more concerned with performing a surgical procedure. Is there a chance that Dr Katz was over-confident and he cut corners? Maybe. Do I care that this might've been an honest overconfidence mistake? No, I don't. We're talking about the lives of at least 2 people here: a baby embryo, and the mother. There should never be any corner cutting. Not in medicine, and especially when there are lives on the line. Given that this pregnancy turned out to be a perfectly healthy embryo, we are now concerned with how many women patients of Dr Katz have actually attended his clinic and undergone the suggested procedures whilst NOT having gone through the standard diagnostics procedures. So, Doc, if you truly want to become a better doctor - please don't present your patients the bleakest of the worlds until you have checked all your boxes. Wait at least until you get the results from both HCG tests... and make them a standard of your diagnostic, please. Medicine is not a guessing game. By the way - all those 5 star reviews claiming Dr katz was "zen"... Obviously fake reviews. Seriously, how many different people do you know using the exact same "zen" wording?"
"Dr. Lon is one of the kindest professionals I’ve ever met, he listens, asks the right questions, takes his time, you can truly tell he cares about his patients. Also, the staff is very friendly and professional."
"Dr. Katz delivered my daughter and I had the most amazing delivery experience. I had a peaceful labor. He was very zen, he didn’t push me or make me feel stressed. He let me pace my body and push when my body felt it needed to. He was so patient, and listened to what I had to say. I suffer from anxiety and was sure I would need something to help but his deamenor was very calming that I didn’t need anything. I couldn’t of had a better labor experience. I’m hoping and praying I have him to deliver my next baby."
"Amazing doctor, he delivered my first baby. He was so zen and patient with me and in return I had such an amazing birthing experience. I would love him to deliver any future babies I may have :) -Darrion"
