"Used to be very good it's gradually gone downhill. We mostly go so I can use the closed captions captiview but it never works we spend anywhere between 20-30 minutes waiting for them to try 4 other captiviews or reboot the system to find it still won't work. Used to be a once in a while thing, now it's every single trip so I can't understand what's going on I rely on subtitles for movies/tv shows. Staff try help but most of the time the won't reboot since only a select number of staff even know the protocol. I do get free tickets but still I shouldn't have to run back and forth saying it's not working or they died mid film. Since covid bathrooms are rarely clean, both women and men's bathrooms are always clean to bare minimum. Walked past 6 dirty toilets today to find one clean one my husband said he absalutely refuses to use the men's stall due to how dirty they've been, he is right women's aree getting just as grubby. We decided after the 5th visit today to try south bend onees in hopes they're captiviews work better seats are just as grimy in theaters. It's like they stopped caring we used to live coming here now it's on our don't even bother list"
"This place is disgusting. We were the first showing of the day and you would not have guessed it. There was trash all over the floors of the lobby and entrance. The carpets in the entrance were dirty, smeared hand prints all over the doors. The popcorn butter counter was all greasy and dirty, and half the condiments were empty. The staff looked like they were just wishing they were anywhere but there currently. They had 1 guy working the counter and popcorn and there was a long line of people waiting to order concessions, but no one at the ticket counter but that worker was just standing there staring at everyone. The bathrooms were horrible. I didn’t want my 3 year old having to use the bathroom because they were disgusting. Half of the stalls were flooded from clogged toilets, or the seats were filthy. The floors were disgusting and the soap was empty. I paid $15 for TWO SMALL drinks and then the syrup for some of them were out. The chairs in our actual theater were all freaky and noisy and disruptive to everyone in the theater. This theater really needs some work before they go under like a lot of others have. Won’t return to this one."
"I honestly don't know how this place has this much of a good number for reviews. This place is so sad now. We live in LaPorte and my bf and I love our days off together to go see movies. This place used to be so much nicer..cleaner. It used to have the LED marquees above the doors. They haven't had those on in a year or two? They no longer have candy under the shelves. They are empty besides two sweet popcorns. They are obviously overpriced... But that's always been that way with the movies.. We usually get a large popcorn, drink, and a reeses and it's over 30 dollars. I always wear a hoodie because the seats just feel dirty oily. The bathrooms are horrible. Took me three times to find a stall that had toilet paper or that wasn't clogged. The mirrors are smudgy oily looking. It smelled like urine. We'd probably join the rewards club but I feel like we need to goto Valpo or somewhere else and make a day of it to be in a better environment. The employees are nice but will be on their phones."
"First time back at the movies since the pandemic. Our last time out here was early in March of 2020 to see the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. The Super Mario Bros Movie finally got us to come back to theater after 3 years away. The movie was absolutely amazing and we will most likely be back to see it a 2nd time. We went to an earlier show so we got in for the matinee price which is actually quite reasonable in this current economic climate. The employees were all friendly and helpful. They have clubs you can join to get deals on movies and concessions which will easily pay for themselves rather quickly if you go to the movies even somewhat regularly. The place was clean. Had a good crowd for an early weekday showing. Now that I realize how affordable movies can still be as long as you catch a matinee earlier in the day, we will probably be back more often to see more movies. We all highly recommend The Super Mario Bros movie, and this is a good venue to see it at. They have it available on regular screens as well as in 3d. I recommend purchasing your tickets ahead of time online as it's quicker that way and guarantees you a spot even if it's a packed show, plus you get a discount buying online. They also have cheaper tickets for kids 12 and under as well as for seniors. We're glad we came back out."
