"We lost power due to extreme winter weather, so we needed two hotel rooms. The Hampton Inn in Madison Heights/Troy exceeded our expectations. The hotel had a super-clean lobby, halls and rooms. The hotel felt a lot nicer and upscale than the reasonable rates we were paying. The hotel was extremely quiet and safe so it was easy to sleep after a stressful day. Breakfast was very good. All of the staff were polite and nice, but Kara at the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. We had a great stay and would definitely come here again. Highly recommended!"

"I didn’t know Hampton Inns existed that are this old and rundown. When I walked in the lobby the rugs appeared to have not been vacuumed in a long while. Baseboards filthy with a pile of dirt and dust on them. Very weird odor in my room. Uck. I would’ve left but it was very late at night due to flight delay. The sketchiest place I’ve ever stayed."

"Not a bad hotel, staff are friendly. Room appeared clean however this hotel is LOUD. Walls are paper thin I can hear the phone ring and conversations next door. People screaming and loud in the hallway. Sunday morning around 10 I could hear what sounded like a church sermon? Could hear from second floor, not a relaxing stay."

"Quick night in town for thanksgiving. The rooms (2) were clean, and well maintained except for the tub in one which would not drain. I dealt with it but was not expected at this hotel. Breakfast was OK - slightly better than average but not outstanding though the serving area was exceptionally maintained and clean. Service animal fee was more than the room - first time we have seen this in our stays around the country."

"The front desk staff were real nice both on the phone and in person. The room was clean. There were a couple hair problems but I just threw it out. Breakfast hours were great. Plenty of time to snooze a little longer and still make it to breakfast. I believe it was 7am till 10am. Breakfast selection included eggs, ham, some bagel topper thing, waffles, pastries, fruits, OJ, and i think cereal?? Would definitely stay again"
