"Can't stand going here at night. Obviously i had the wrong skin color for this racist worker. I asked where the hairspray is and he said Pantene is down the haircare aisle and I said first of all I never asked for Pantene and second that is garbage hair spray. He Obviously assumed because I'm white that I would use Pantene. And he walked away instead of showing me. He was very rude. And probably shouldn't work in retail if you don't like people or should I say white people."
"I need to be honest and I need to finally post this because it’s become such a prevalent issue at this target regarding how uncomfortable I feel going in here.. I’ve lived in Madison heights for almost 3 years now and I live right next to this target location, I used to go pretty frequently but every single time I go in here I get followed around by staff or security.. I’ve never once stolen in my entire life!!! I don’t know if I’m being profiled because I’m obviously a queer person, or if because I’m very clearly middle eastern, but this happens EVERY single time I go in here.. I’m autistic with very bad anxiety and it makes me extremely uncomfortable and anxious, it takes me forever to even feel okay enough to leave my apartment let alone go into a public space and this is how I’m treated? Today I had to get my pick up order (which I’ve been doing BECAUSE of the profiling).. unfortunately I forgot to get water and some other things so I sadly had to go inside, that’s when I noticed I was being followed yet again, and when I was checking out a security guard was standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY LANE and didn’t go away until I was done!!!! Why do you think that I’m a criminal?! What did I ever do to deserve this constant profiling.. is it because I take time reading ingredients because I have a dairy allergy? Is it because I like to take my time to look at my options before I buy something? Or is it simply because I’m not a white, straight, blonde person with a Starbucks cup and Zara clothing on.. I left the store, got in my car and cried. I don’t understand why I’m treated like this at this location, I’m a frequent target customer, I have an account with you guys… this isn’t how loyal customers should be treated. I’m debating complaining about this to corporate because I’m so upset, thankfully my boyfriend was there with me today and he witnessed it too and he was SHOCKED and UPSET. Next time I OR MY PARTNER WILL SAY SOMETHING TO SECURITY OR THE STAFF ABOUT THIS AND I WILL NOT BE UNDERSTANDING OR KIND. This is OBSURD and customers should NOT BE TREATED LIKE THIS!!"
"All done shopping here. Too ghetto. Folks trying to sell me phone plans while I shop. Must be some cash deal between them and a manager. No way corporate would approve. Very dirty in here too. Places like this are still open because consumers don't push back. Don't spend your hard earned money in this dump. Zero stars."
"Their customer service is poor. I had an issue with a return order and they tried to pass me off to an online help service, without trying to understand my situation. I spoke with multiple employees who didn't care to help me with my issue. I won't shop at Target (in general) again, since there are plenty of comparable stores that treat their customers better."
"The one star review is to get the attention of whoever is in charge. Please get rid of the self checkout lines they take significantly longer than if I were to be checked out by an actual cashier. One woman was doing four checkout lines at once- very kind and helpful employee- but she was working much harder than I felt she needed to be. Not fair to your employees or customers"
