"Went here today for the first time. Old school theater with super affordable ticket prices (sometimes free) and concessions. Great experience and the staff was super nice and seemed appreciative of people. Will definitely come again."
"I usually love this theatre! It really benefits the community and makes it possible for me to see a movie with my family, even though I’m a single mom who can’t afford much. They also have a quiet room, which is great for my baby and I. However, yesterday I went to see Elf for free there and my experience was not so great. We were having a great time in the beginning. The workers at the concession stand were so kind and patient with my family. There were a ton of kids laughing and enjoying the experience. I had to go up to the cry room and to the back with my baby and walk around, and I then heard this volunteer from the ticket booth being so crotchety and rude to all the children that were going to use the restroom. Mind you, these are not my kids, but I understand that children need to get up and use the bathroom more. Yes, they got up a lot, but this was a free kids movie and kids have small bladders! She tried to be rude to me about bringing my son, which makes no sense, as it was a free children’s movie and they have a cry room for that very reason. It was so unnecessary and makes me not want to return with any children. She should not be in a position to be interacting with the public. And if she is, please be careful about letting your children use the restroom alone. She likely won’t be nearly as rude to your children if you are with them."
"Neat historical place. We attended a one act play on the life of Frederick Douglass which was good. Didn't expect consessions. We had gone out to eat and ordered dessert or would have had some food during the play. Love that a small town has made it a priority to preserve this wonderful structure."
"$3 dollar movies! All staff is volunteer. The city is doing great to keep this place around. Nothing fancy but old time theater is great. Good picture and sound in a stage type place."
