"First, a heartfelt shout out to super staff -- NADIA, JULIA, and MARIANNA -- thank you for being so friendly, professional, and accommodating. Another shout-out to the staff who kept the water jugs full all weekend, and the bathrooms and hotel rooms clean. Came here for a convention, and we sold out the hotel, but the staff were prepared and accommodating. Lots of seating areas inside and outside the hotel. Relaxing pond in the front, and a nice patio with fire pits in the back. The grab 'n' go food was priced for convenience (understandably), and hit or miss (paid $6 for a hard bagel I couldn't eat, but paid $10 for a veggie burger and tater tots that were good in a pinch). Would like to see more vegan options. There are also plenty of food options nearby. The rooms were clean and the beds/pillows so comfy. Weirdly there was no fan in the bathroom so it got quite steamy. From our room, we saw the moon at night and woke up to beautiful sunrises over the lake. It was my first stay here and will definitely return."
"I photographed Kylie & Pete's wedding day at the Marriot Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest and the wedding space is absolutely beautiful! The suites were perfect for getting ready, and the ceremony space is beautifully designed! The new window filled reception space is AMAZING, from the light fixtures to the indoor/outdoor options - I cannot wait to be back here for more wedding days! (And we were able to rent a golf cart to take around for photos - 10/10 highly recommend!)"
"I recently stayed at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest and wanted to share my thoughts on the experience. The room itself was spacious, clean, and provided a comfortable environment. However, certain design aspects left me with mixed feelings. Positives included the room's cleanliness and ample space. Despite this, the placement of the desk in front of the wall-mounted TV was less than ideal. The glass-topped desk made using a mouse impractical without a pad, an item most travelers don't carry. Reconsidering the desk placement and surface material could significantly improve the workspace usability. A notable downside was the absence of expected amenities. No Business Center, printing facilities, limited restaurant hours, a crowded bar area, and the lack of a pool, hot tub, jacuzzi, bath, or microwave, along with only small stand-up showers, were disappointing. Additionally, I encountered issues with the phone and thermostat during my stay, impacting effective communication and room comfort. During my stay, I also visited the hotel's restaurant/bar area for lunch. I ordered the soup and salad, but my experience was less than satisfactory. After waiting for about an hour, the young man brought out my food. Unfortunately, the soup was at room temperature or even cold, and to my surprise, he hadn't provided a fork for my salad. Attempting to eat the salad without a fork proved challenging, particularly when dealing with ingredients like cucumbers. After a few minutes of struggling, I decided to take matters into my own hands--quite literally. I got up and roamed throughout the hotel to locate a microwave and a fork. After heating up the soup and finally finding a fork, I returned to my seat to resume my meal. To add to the dining experience, the young man approached me and asked if everything was okay. It became apparent that he had overlooked the crucial detail of providing utensils for my meal. While I appreciated the check-in, it highlighted a lapse in service where basic necessities like a fork were missed. This dining incident, coupled with the other aspects of my stay, contributed to my overall assessment of the hotel experience. I hope this additional information is helpful in conveying a comprehensive picture of my stay at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest. On a positive note, I must highlight the exceptional service provided by the two young Concierge Lounge staff members. They went above and beyond to ensure a delightful experience, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction. Their efforts stood out as a shining example of outstanding hospitality. Despite the challenges I encountered during my stay, the dedication and exemplary service from the Concierge Lounge staff were a notable bright spot. Their willingness to go the extra mile contributed positively to my overall impression of the hotel, showcasing a level of service that deserves recognition. In the midst of the mixed aspects of my stay, the commendable service from the Concierge Lounge staff adds a valuable layer to the overall narrative. I appreciate the genuine efforts made by these individuals to enhance my experience at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest. The staff, while friendly and accommodating, seemed to apologize excessively. While I appreciate their responsiveness, it would be more beneficial if they could address the root causes of issues rather than repeatedly apologizing. Considering the overall experience and the mentioned drawbacks, I find myself hesitant to choose this hotel for future stays. While the room's positive aspects and the friendly staff are commendable, the design issues, the absence of expected amenities, coupled with the excessive apologies, and the technical issues with the phone and thermostat have influenced my decision. Unfortunately, I would not opt to stay here again, especially for an extended week-long stay."
"I went to the hotel for a wedding in the end of September. The rooms were nice and had a fantastic view. The location was nice because it was secluded. For our wedding, we were given a conference room for the groomsman. We were advised that we could leave items in the room and they would be safe. I left a few items in the conference room and when I got back there after the wedding, my items were moved. I understand having to move them to prepare for the event the next day. I noticed that some of my items were missing from the room after I got back from the reception. I notified the front desk staff and they advised they would send an email to the person in charge of the banquet halls. When I left the next day, I asked if the manager had gotten back with them and told they didn’t. I wasn’t expecting the manager to be working that day so it wasn’t an issue. I was advised that I would receive a call from them within a week. I left my name, number, and email. After one week of no calls or emails, I called the hotel and again left my name, number, and email asking for a return phone call to try to resolve the issue. Yet again I waited another week and no emails or telephone calls. Each time I called I was told I would receive a telephone call shortly. This went on for one month when finally, Eric Bernardara reached out to me and got the claim working for me. He was super helpful during this all. He is the front desk manager and is not in charge of the conference rooms. If you plan on doing a wedding at this venue, or another event and using the conference rooms as a place to keep items, I do not recommend this venue unless you make it a hassle and keep all of your items in your room. After their liability company did their “investigation” I was advised that I was supposed to “attend to and keep safe” my items in a room I was advised was not accessible to anyone but our wedding party and the staff of the hotel."
"Room: 6/10 Cleanliness: 6/10 Water Pressure: 4/10 Service: 8/10 Honestly, nothing to write home about. Wouldn't stay here again. We had issues right from the start. First room had stains on both comforters, so we got a new room. New room was OK, but there were just a lot of issues with the rest of the hotel. Only one ice machine that worked in the whole place. The phones in both rooms didn't work. I think the worst part was paying $30 to park. When we stayed the parking lot was half empty the entire weekend. The staff was nice, so that was good at least. They seem to be aware of the issues and just going through the motions. If I came back to this area I'd go somewhere else. This place is just not worth what we paid for it."
