"Stayed here last month and this month, everything fine except issues with tv both times. Both times Tiffany and her daughter, Brianna came to our room and fixed. They were very kind and helpful. Will stay there again! Thanks to Tiffany and Brianna!!"
"Wingate in Brighton is a joke!! There are plenty of other hotels near by, do not waste your money on this one! Rooms are nasty, trim falling off, bathroom door doesn't shut, toilet seat is destroyed. Dirty, gross place. Hot tub doesn't heat up, is cloudy as can be and they need to add some chemicals. Had to ask for pool towels a couple times because they had non out and couldn't bother to stock them. This place is beyond run down. The manager could care less. No syrup at the "complimentary breakfast" and when we ask staff for some they said they haven't had it in months and that we should complain because management does nothing. To top off our great stay we get a charge of $100 for cleaning fee. We checked in at 730 at night and left at 10...we did not eat anything in this nasty room and didn't even use the shower but some how it was trashed. When I called the manager had nothing to say to back up calling it trashed. Looking at other reviews people have complained of random charges as well. What a shame of a hotel and Manager!!!"
"This is a terrible hotel. Do not stay here. The beds are awful. Lumpy and old. The hot tub was green and not hot. The pool was cloudy. Check in personal was rude. We left in an hour of checking in. The absolutely worse hotel. Be warned."
"Worst hotel I've ever stayed at! Every main room door slams and is not a soft close. We heard doors slamming all night and morning. They slammed so hard our beds shook! We had the room fan on, we had our own personal fan on high and a sound machine on very loudly and still were woken up or startled multiple times from other people's doors slamming. The pool closed at 11 so there were kids running up and down the hallways super late. Multiple people were smoking in their rooms and the hallways were super smoky... It's a non-smoking hotel. We got up for breakfast which was frequently running out of food items. They had a mislabeled juice machine that dispensed water instead of orange juice. We were all locked out of our rooms before checkout and had to get our cards redone at the front desk. The staff was super rude and said the cards stop working the day you leave, not after checkout time. So if you leave your room at all the day you checkout you can't get back in unless you go to the front desk. We wanted to get some pool time in in the morning after breakfast but it didn't open until 10am. Hand sanitizers were not working and the soap dispenser in the bathrooms were out."
"Recently stayed for 3 nights in a poolside 2 queen bed suite with separate living room area, room 142. Our first night went well however the next 2 nights were horrible. On the 2nd night the pool area was very rowdy and upon calling the desk they stated it was out of their control basically to do anything and they were fully booked so couldn't move our room even though I never asked, just wanted to let my boys swim in a safe environment and didn't feel I could with what was happening. I'm happy I didn't let them swim since a few hours later a whole full size wooden table had gotten thrown into the pool. But it gets worse, in the middle of the night the fire alarm gets pulled by whom I can only assume was from the same hotel guest that think furniture belongs in the pool and the hotel doesn't seem to care how other guests feel. When trying to hurrily exit my 2 young sons from our poolside room the carpet literally splashed right outside of our room and saturated their slippers, since for several hours the pool area was unruly with people leaving the enclosed pool area and running right next to rooms around the circle of carpet in front of rooms, again the hotel did nothing to stop this. After finding out that it was a false alarm I had a sleepless night of trying to calm my youngest and assure him he could sleep there was no fire, and the people running around pulling fire alarms couldn't get into our room. I spoke again on Saturday night with the front desk who was kind and assured me she would speak with managers. Sunday morning they had fans in the hall for the saturated carpet. Sunday morning at check out the same woman was at front desk and told me that I would be refunded 2 nights for the problems, however would have to speak with manager who was going to do it on Monday since he said he couldn't do it until he got there Monday morning. When I called and asked to speak to said manager Monday morning I was told I could be refunded for only 50% of one night, and that they would call me right back if after speaking to who said that said they said that, even though the manager who said that was supposed to be on. Wish what I got told was what they did to fix the problem. Very disappointed and not family friendly."
