Parkview Motel 429 North Broadway, Hastings, MI 49058

"My mother rented a room for a few days after having a fire at her apartment complex. The motel was on the Red Cross list of places to contact in an emergency situation. We spoke with a gentleman at the front desk who knew she had a dog. His spoke very little English so the communication was not great. I told him that at Red Cross's suggestion we would be paying a day at a time, but she would stay for up to a week. After 2 days at the motel, a young lady at the front desk told my mother she had to move rooms because of the dog. She said the room she was in was not for dogs. I called to try and reason with the front desk because my 72 year old mother with a walker was still shook up from the fire. I advised them that I live an hour away and she has a walker. They said she had to move. Then when we moved her there were 2 beds in the new room and they told her she was only allowed to use one. They did not shovel well or assist my mother in what I would call good customes service. I explained the fire to both parties at the front desk. I moved her to the Holiday Inn. We will not use that motel again."

"The rooms are decent, nothing fancy tho. The hair dryer in my room (room #1) didn't work. There could be better lighting, it always seems so dark. Location is great, across the street from a very nice large park. When at the motel you're only a 2 minute walk to the gas station. Less than 5 minute drive to Walmart, fast food and local restaurants/bars. Service is non existent though. If you stay longer than one night you'll need to ask for and go to desk to pick up more toilet paper, soap, plastic bags for trash cans and towels. They do not have housekeeping (do not pick up trash or dirty towels) and they do not give you more than 1 shampoo and 2 small bars of scentless soap even if staying 3+ nights. No soap in liquid soap dispenser at sink, I hate using bar soap to wash my hands lbs."

"Very clean & friendly people. Plenty of parking for both of our trailers as well. Also conveniently located in town. After reading the previous reviews, I'm glad that I brought my own pillow because they do have some flat pillows. Other then that, a great place to stay! Will be staying there again."

"No bugs- bad odor, carpet felt dirty. Refrigerator did not work properly. They said they replaced it with another identical one, but still did not freeze the tiny ice cubes."

"My Brother was in town for a couple days and he chose to stay there. Fantastic choice! It was very clean, stocked with all emenitys you would need for a few days visit. It is close to gas, food, and grocery store. We stayed pretty late and this gentleman came and offers us McDonalds. We declined but we're very appreciative that he didn't have to go outta his way to feed people staying in a motel room, yet he did. Thank You again Sir for your kind gesture."
