"Very interesting self guided tour. Amazing story behind the manor. Great period pieces in every room."
"We came for a night on a last minute decision for my birthday..and so glad we did! We stayed in the Laurium suite and it was the most beautiful room..the large solid wood and marble bed was amazing. The character and attention to detail were impeccable. The staff went above and beyond, answering any questions we had and providing the history of the manor. The breakfast was delicious as well...our only complaint is that we didn't stay longer. Tim & Trish"
"My brother and sister-in-law stayed here, and we were able to come in and check it out, and it's an absolutely beautiful manor! Would definitely stay there!"
"This is an amazing place to stay!! Julie and Dave have done a fantastic job restoring this beautiful home. We stayed for 2 night in Room 9, the head maids room, as we toured the Keewenaw Penninsula. The room was larger than the other maid rooms, which were all on the 3rd floor, and had a small sitting area. It was furnished beautifully, was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We were checked in by Crystal. She was very kind and knowledgeable about the area and had just put out some cookies for the evening. She encouraged us to tour the house, which we did. Any room not booked for the night was open to tour. Be sure to listen to the audio tour on the website as you tour. Breakfasts were delicious! Some of our gear was dirty from sand at the beach and Julie let us use the hose outside to wash everything off, which we really appreciated. It was such a wonderful experience!!"
"This is an interesting home--- built in 1908 during the Craftsman Era, it is a mix of Neoclassical and Victorian architecture on the exterior, and Victorian and Craftsman in the interior. It is worth the price just to admire the craftsmanship throughout the interior. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We shall return!"
