"Great nights sleep @ Al & Sally's Motel. Very comfortable beds, hot coffee & tea in the room, plus a mini retro Frigidaire. Keyless entry & super helpful people when reserving our room."
"Since new management, in efforts to "improve" they have destroyed the character, charm of this historic place. Instead of restoring or cleaning properly, They painted white over the vintage wood grain. No respect of the heritage of this place. And they drastically went up on rates which isn't justified with the swimming pool not repaired or available. The cheap and useless cosmetic changes are horrible. It's now has become typical, like a regular motel dump."
"Loved it! They did a great job of turning a vintage road-side motel into a quaint, comfortable, modern place. Everything was clean, and I appreciated the easy-to-clean surfaces which helps it feel clean, too."
"This hotel was a huge disappointment. We are on our honeymoon and drove 8 hours and we’re looking forward to a quiet night together so we booked this hotel as it looked nice. When we arrived, there was no one at reception, but a phone number to text for the ‘quickest response’. We texted many times and called but no response. 2 hours later, 8:30pm, we get a text with our room number and how to get in. At this point we are furious and had begun to set up camp because we needed somewhere to sleep. We pack up camp, go into our room. The only good this I can say, is it has a comfortable large bed. The shower had bugs in it, the shower head has built for someone shorter than 5ft. Not only that, the highway and train and super loud, so it is difficult to get a good night sleep. We would not recommend this place to anyone, firstly for the risk of not even being able to sleep there because of hotel staff not being around, but secondly for the expensive price and low quality room."
"This motel has so much potential, it's just lacking in some fundamental ways. For $225/night it's over priced, I would've expected amenities to be incuded: TV, water bottles, smore ingredients, etc. Also the hot water wasn't functioning so we had cold showers. The service was awesome and the room was beautiful, but it's got some functional improvement before it's worth $225/night."
