"Quiet, comfortable, a bit pricey but understandable given the location. Close to the dunes, walking trails, Glen Haven beach(+) and town of Glen Arbor which had all the amenities. Owner easy to work with. Would recommend."

"Just took a family vacation to Sleeping Bear Dunes and we really enjoyed our stay at the Duneswood. One of the only places in that area that is dog friendly, too (extra charge but worth it!). Everyone was super friendly and accommodating! Classic, rustic roadside motel, which I personally love when taking trips. The rooms are clean, the place is quiet and relaxing and right on the trail for walks and bike rides. And right outside the park, too which was very convenient. Close to Empire, Glen Haven and Glen Arbor, as well. I highly recommend them. We'll be back on our next trip to the area."

"Rustic and retro chic. We loved our stay at Duneswood Resort. The owners and staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We rented bikes onsite and rode into town along the Sleeping Bear Dunes Heritage Trail through the National Park. It was delightful. We also stopped at the local brewery which we highly recommend."

"We were here last summer in August. It was fantastic. I would not call this a resort - it's a cross between a cabin and a motel. No luxury here, rooms and bathrooms are very small, but it is clean. I also like the "green" environment. If you are looking for a spot away from the congestion of Traverse City, but close enough to drive in when the urge strikes, this is the place. The location is wonderful. Very close to Glen Arbor and Empire Beach which is the crown jewel of the area. If you want a quiet retreat with an awesome biking or walking trail right at your front door and being at the foot of the Sleeping Bear Dunes, this is your spot. Plan to have a fire on the beach and watch the sun set."
