"LESSON LEARNED!!! 1. I contacted this company to cancel my policy because I was moving. It was VERY DIFFICULT and time consuming to get past the computer system to speak to a human being. 2. When I finally got through, the customer service rep told me she couldn't process a cancellation in advance, but she could back date a cancellation. She said I should call back after I move or just don't pay the renewal bill when it comes. 3. I received the renewal and mailed it backed with a signed, dated note requesting cancellation. 4. After I moved (7/21/18), I called customer service only to find out the policy was still active. The rep told me I had to e-mail the V.P., Barbara Giles, which I did immediately. 5. I received a notice of cancellation due to NON-PAYMENT!!! 6. I received a 2nd notice telling me to ignore the cancellation notice and that my policy had been RE-INSTATED!!! 7. I called customer service and was told I had to e-mail V.P. Barbara Giles (again). I requested an acknowledgement of receipt this time. 8. I received an acknowledgement of receipt (e-mail) from V.P. Barbara Giles saying my policy had been cancelled. 9. 8/27/18 I received a cancellation notice saying, "We recently received a request to cancel your policy. We canceled the policy on 8/13/2018 at 12:01 a.m." 10. My initial contact to this company was prior to my move date of 7/21/18. This notice was dated on 8/13/2018. I received it on 8/27/18 (more than a month after my initial contact.) 11. I'm VERY HAPPY that I paid this policy in full for the year and didn't have to worry about stopping automatic deductions or trying to get money back from them. 12. This policy was very easy to get established and VERY DIFFICULT to get cancelled. 13. LESSON LEARNED: It is VERY EASY to have your excellent credit rating ruined by doing business with the wrong company!"
