"Spectator seating is still wooden bleachers. Air quality could be better."
"The pool itself looks impressive, however for this being a University facility the rest of it was very disappointing. The building pastels seemed very outdated, poor air quality. It was extremely and fans they had put out to help where not working. There are old wooden bleachers on just one end of the pool, which makes it hard to watch the swims. There were 3 or 4 tiny bleachers shoved against the side of the wall. Parking was horribly expensive, I have never had to pay for parking before at a swim meet!"
"Wanted to watch my daughter swim at state championship. Crowded for a regular meet. Terrible venue for a championship. So hot, 10 minutes in your sweating more if your in a Russian sauna house. Had to wait an hour to get in. Overcapacity. The Natatorium was under construction. Only 1 egress point. Pinned up in an overflow room. Club Wolverine did the best they could. Just shows the popularity and participation of swimming is outgrowing the facilities in southeastern Michigan. Whoever from USA Swimming should figure out that 7 minutes from Detroit, Windsor has a brand new national facility that can accommodate these people...I’ll stay in a hotel for 3 days to watch my kid swim. Don’t know why UM is not available either, heard it was a hockey game conflict for parking."
"There's two kinds of indoor pool, Dungeons where light and phone reception disappear, and brightly lit arenas for swim competition. This one was a bit of both. On the other hand the staff are incredibly helpful, and there was plenty of space to host a larger meet."
"HORRIBLE air quality, parking is extremely OVERPRICED, the bathrooms are gross and my husband said half the stalls were closed off/broken, bleachers are extremely old, not spectator friendly. The pool is a great one...a fast one...for swimmers competing but they are forced to sit in the halls or go outside so they can breathe and be prepared for their swims. Major work needs to be done but they are not making it a priority. Sad!"
