"Nice restaurant and location right downtown Royal oak. . I have frequented thai restaurants everywhere for the last 25 years. Thiis place has Some of the best crab ragoon. Wing dings also pretty good. The sauce that comes with has a hint of sweet and spice, very tasty. I ordered the C1 curry. It came out a bit thin or watered down. Not being shy, I let them know i was disappointed. They told me I should order the C1 with more curry. They brought me out a new bowl. It was great. Great flavor. Ill be back. Place has really good service. Perfect date spot. The curry dish would be great to split with a noodle dish. Ill try that next time"
"This place is amazing! Fantastic food and sweet owners. The place is better than Pi’s Thai in my opinion. I wish it was closer to my place. It’s the best Thai food I have eaten in Detroit and pretty much the entire country (and I travel a lot). Only thing is it is spicier than average, and it would make sense to go one notch lower. So if you usually go for medium, go for mild plus instead. Love this place! We really needed a top notch thai place in the metro area."
"Thinking of going to which Thai place for lunch today or dinner tonight? Look no further, Kacha Thai Market it is! This newly opened Thai restaurant is now our favorite go-to restaurant in the area. Since we had a newborn, my wife and I had ordered carry out 7 times from here and never once disappointed. As Southeast Asian ourselves, the flavors and spices aroma in the dishes are absolutely spot on. We had tried majority of the Thai restaurants around the area, some of them are pretty good but it’s just not at the same level of authenticity as Kacha. Yes, the price here might be a little on a higher end since it’s in downtown Royal Oak, but you are guaranteed to get your food made from fresh and quality ingredients, dishes that are delicately prepared, portions that are value for your money, and satisfaction after your meal. Our favorite is their Pad Thai as every layer of the noodle is so well mixed with the right amount of sauce (not wet like some other places), and most importantly not too sweet! If you can, make sure you get the Pad Thai Shrimp that wrapped inside an omelette! Chicken rice and roast pork rice are amazing too. For appetizer, we like their apple salad and Moo Ping (grilled pork skewer. Also, if you have room for dessert, make sure you try out their delicious Thai coconut custard (comes in 4 pieces). Update: We just tried two of their new items, Wonton Noodle Soup and Kao Moo Daeng (red bbq pork and rice), and they are delicious!"
"Kacha Thai Market is authentic down to the decor and food. The server is really nice and made some recommendations between Lao papaya salad and Thai papaya salad. I loved the Lao papaya salad but be forewarned if you are sensitive to smell and taste of things fishy. I love it but not everyone will enjoy it. I see it was a new place and was hesitant to try but I’m so glad I did. We order the Tom yum soup which we loved. I would suggest to owners to put in the menu what the up charge would be if we wanted to add shrimp. I knew there would be one but just so it’s not a surprise to other guests. Correct me if I’m wrong but I didn’t see what it would be for a small bowl. We also ordered the Thai Basil fried rice with chicken. I personally order this to see if the restaurant in general would be good or not. Silly, I know but fried rice is not as easy to make with the great taste of the hot wok in the rice. I’m a fried rice snob but I have to say their fried rice was absolutely delicious. My husband has been looking for some crispy pork belly. We went to a Chinese restaurant and was not up to par. It came soaked in sauce which made the pork belly soggy. We loved this pork belly though. It has a nice crispy crunch to every bite. If I lived closer, this would be my go to Thai restaurant. I would definitely recommend this to any Thai food lovers. Anyone new to thai food, try to order mild or no spice if you can’t handle the heat. I am one of those and mild was the perfect balance for me."
