Reviews of Little Tykes University Learning and Child Care Center
"Little Tykes University is a great place. We have been with them since the first day they opened. Our kids LOVE going! The staff is friendly and caring. The communication between teachers and parents is prompt and anything we have ever needed was accommodated as soon as possible."
"Far exceeded expectations- kids are safe, well cared for, having fun and learning."
"My son has been going to little tykes for almost a year now and hasn’t been to a daycare before. I can not say enough good things about this place. My son has learned so much since starting at age 3. They worked with him with potty training and learning how to talk more and how to have a conversation. Now at the age of 4 my son learned so much that he can count to 25 and say his whole alphabet. He can even write his name and most of the alphabet. The staff is super friendly and will even call to see if my son is coming if we don’t show by a certain time. They take good care of my child if he gets sick until I can come get him to take him home. The staff takes the time to make sure that he eaten his food, makes sure that he is okay after getting hurt. The owners have even graciously allowed me to have my 2 year old be a drop in for the days that I don’t have someone to watch him or get called to work at the last minute. I can not wait for my 2 year old to start coming every day because I know he will just continue to grow in his learning."
"If I could give this zero stars, I would. My son attended Little Tykes for just shy of 4 months. Our son is 3 and has been in care since he was 8 weeks old. We never had problems with previous care, but anytime we told him he had school the next day/morning he would get so upset, in the past he looked forward to his days with his friends. We had multiple issues with management including problems with sunscreen being applied to our son, not getting personal items at naptime, etc. After management forwarded my email to the teacher, which I felt was poor practice, the teacher told me that due to her ratio of 10 children to 1 adult, children in her classroom are expected to be independent and she and others in her class were doing the best they could. I then requested he be moved back to the previous classroom with a lower ratio if this was the issue. I was told that because he was potty trained, they would not move him back. We were even denied a receipt/statement when we requested one for submittal to our childcare reimbursement accounts and to clear a billing a discrepancy-Little Tykes owner said we owed more than our records showed but was never able to provide a statement. We supplied a spreadsheet as well as a copy of our cleared checks. Over a month after the original request, I received the statement and then told that because of the concerns my husband and I had shared, while justified, my son was no longer welcome at their facility. When I looked at their Facebook reviews, I saw that we were not the first family this had happened to. It seems if you have any questions/concerns, rather than being open to talking about it/fixing the problem, they will just tell you you’re no longer welcome. I’m glad my son is no longer in their care, while it has been a strain for our family with two working parents-he is overall much happier and I am at ease knowing he is getting the care he deserves."
