"First, I have to say Dr. Aslam did a fine job on my bladder lift and hysterectomy surgery. The pain from the surgery lasted like 3 or 4 days. BUT I experienced immense pain from a groin muscle INJURY FROM THE SURGERY! A week after the surgery, I could barely move! I couldn’t walk without immense pain and an uncontrollable wobble. I returned to the office only to be given flexeril (which did nothing but make me a little tired.). The nurses said it was very common to have groin pain after this surgery without explanation as to specifically why. I had to take three weeks off from work, and I really needed four, but couldn’t afford to do that. One nurse belly laughed when I said I thought my leg could be dislocated or possibly broken. NO apologies, and I’m treated like I’m crazy. One more visit, and I’m DONE. I never did see the doctor for any follow up. Always the nurse practitioner. Last visit is the nurse practitioner AGAIN. This just isn’t right, and the whole office acts like I’m just another number in their books. I’m only 57. Average size and weight. I really don’t see how most elderly women could handle that level of pain and discomfort. Thankfully (after a full month), I’m about 85% groin healed. Was the surgery worth it? The verdict is still pending…. ***12/7/2023 It’s now been over two months, and I still have groin pain. It was a rough day at work, and I’m thinking none of this was worth it. I was almost in tears today."
