"My husband and I had a great lunch experience at Midnight Temple! We had been wanting to go because of the social media hype and I’m very glad that we did. We got the Shrimp Manchurian, Tandoori Chicken, Masala Dosa, and Lamb Biryani and everything was excellent. My husband is South Indian and said the food was the closest he tasted to home in Michigan! I also very much enjoyed the cocktail I ordered, I forgot what it was called but it was perfectly balanced- not too sweet, salty, or smoky! We had a wonderful conversation with the owners father that added to the experience. Highly recommend this place for the vibes (they play great Desi music), the food (really delicious if a bit on the expensive side), and the service!"

"The best Indian restaurant that I’ve tried in Detroit!!! Ordered takeout over the phone. Went to pick it up and was greeted by the kindest people. The venue is so cool! The food took a while before it was ready, but three servers came to check on us a few times and asked if we wanted anything to drink. The food was SO worth the wait!!! The chicken biryani and chicken tika masala are OUTSTANDING! The chicken is so flavorful. Garlic naan is also absolutely perfect. I cannot wait to go back! Definitely my new favorite spot in Detroit!!"

"This place had been open for at least a year and I had no idea. The vibe is really nice, full bar and exotic decor. I was definitely disappointed with the service. I had to go to the bar to get my own drinks, ask about our starters and once our food came, we were never asked if we wanted or needed anything else. The food did not disappoint. Would definitely would come again and hope for better service. We did get free dessert for the birthday we were celebrating but weren't really able to discuss with our server till it was time to pay the $170 bill for 3 people."

"Authentic Indian fare in a gorgeous spot in the heart of Eastern Market. Friendly service and knowledgeable staff add to the experience. Full bar and specialty drinks. DJ and dancing. Kitchen open until midnight Tuesday-Sunday. Great place to stop after a game or hanging out downtown."

"Great atmosphere at this location. Limited food menu, but the quality was okay. The biryani portion size was huge for the price, easily a shareable dish. The service was a bit slow though, despite the restaurant being nearly empty when we arrived."
