"Edit:11/27/23 if you are a smoker do not talk to the doctor about wanting to quit. They will charge you $28 for just talking about wanting to quit smoking. Save your money and buy your own patches. I was being treated for a sinus infection given antibiotics to take for a week. I called around 11:30 am yesterday requesting a refill of antibiotics as I only had one pill left and my symptoms were not improving. Another nurse called me back at 12:40 and I explained the same to her. I called again at 3:34 to request a dr’s note and told them I wanted to just let them know before they called me back so that it wouldn’t be dragged out any longer. I did not receive any call back and the prescription was not sent to my pharmacy. I called this morning at 9:27 am to say that i haven’t heard back and I need my antibiotics and the drs note today. The lady on the phone got short and snappy with me saying that it takes 24-48 hours to have my request looked at. She forwarded me to someone else to talk about the antibiotics. At 10:29 I get a call back and they tell me “they don’t want to send you new antibiotics just take the ones you have”. I said “that is why I called yesterday because I’m out”. She said “ohhh you’re out okay I’ll get that message to Kayla” I said “what about my drs note?” She asked “have you requested one?” I said yes I called yesterday. She begins asking me why I need the drs note and for what day. I responded by saying “I went over all this yesterday with someone.” She responded by saying “yeah there’s just no note of it in your chart” It is now 2:00pm and I still haven’t got a call back, received my drs note that I need for TOMORROW, and the prescription has not been sent to my pharmacy. I understand the whole world is short staffed right now but I just don’t understand how after very clearly explaining to 2 different people that I needed a refill on my antibiotics, I am then told to just keep taking the ones I have. The lack of actually submitting my request for a drs note (which then would’ve been an appropriate notice) is very frustrating. I worry if I don’t receive this note by the end of the day I will lose my new job. All of this has made me feel like I am not being listened to or taken seriously and given attitude for being frustrated. While writing this review I received a message in my chart asking me AGAIN what days I didn’t work that I need the drs note for. My response was “ I have told 2 separate people now that I need a dr’s note for tomorrow Wednesday the 7th, so I can send it to my new employer tonight, as they are expecting me to work there tomorrow.” I really like the drs I have seen and it is close to me but I may reconsider where I get my care form here on out. This is ridiculous. I am leaving this review instead of calling and complaining to a receptionist as it is not their fault."

"I switched here about a year and a half ago because of my insurance change. Dr. Shih and Haddad are awesome, and really talk out things and listen. They care about the patient. The ladies at the front desk are always very kind, and all 3 times I've been here, my appointment was right on time. The nurses are nice too!"

"I experienced horrible patient care here. We normally go to a different Trinity Health office, which we are very happy with. My son stayed home from school sick, and I called my office for an appointment. They got me a 4pm visit at the Schoolcraft location. I left work early, picked my son up and left with plenty of time to get there, so I thought. We hit a freeway closure and 2 stopped trains, which caused so much traffic backup. I called the Schoolcraft office to let them know that we were running 10 minutes behind. They told me no worries and said they have a 15 minute grace period. They knew this was our first visit and did not explain how big and confusing the building is to navigate if you have never been. I pulled in, having never been to this office before, I headed to the right to pediatrics. There were NO signs indicating that we should go upstairs. We waited in the short line for pediatric check in. The kind receptionist let me know that our appointment was at primary care which was upstairs. At this point, it was at 4:13pm. We rushed upstairs and got up to the receptionist upstairs right at 4:15pm. The receptionist told me “sorry you are past your 15 minute grace period, we will have to reschedule”. I explained my situation and told her that I already called and spoke with somebody. We have never been late to an appointment before, but the circumstances were out of our control. She messaged the doctor who said she would not see my son. When I asked to speak to the doctor to explain the situation I was told she was in a room with a patient. So..her schedule is behind and I would be sitting in this waiting room anyway even if I was here 15 minutes ago? I am a generally calm person, and it takes a lot to upset me, but this situation just made me feel like we were just another patient number. Everyone was very dismissive and there was “nobody available” to talk to. I absolutely understand policy, but Trinity Health supposedly prides themselves in patient care, and this situation left a sick kid and a stressed out single mom with no care. I would NOT recommend this office if you are looking for a caring and considerate medical team, because they certainly didn’t care about us."
