"Doctor was awesome, staff not so much. Overcharged me three times. Limited hours and impossible to reach over the phone. Staff isn’t organized and after calling me to reschedule an apt due to the doctors emergency, I came in for the new apt and office was closed (guessing someone forgot to write it down). Good luck trying to contact the person who handles insurance, finally had to drive there to tell THEM what was going on. Haven’t been able to get in for an apt in two months now because of the limited hours. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place if you don’t want to be stressed out."
"I've had a very positive experience from start to finish! They are pretty clear about their expectations so have your paperwork filled out and be on time and you are good; not very fair to everyone else with appointments if they get off-schedule, so I understand why they are sticklers. Ask for the younger guy doctor, he's awesome. Goes above and beyond to make sure you are good. Can't speak highly enough about him!"
"The office is welcoming and Sally is nice. She seemed to care. My only problem is with billing. I went to 5 appointments in a span of about 2-3 months and on my last appointment received a bill from what my insurance didn't cover. They charge $175 an hour which to me is a little steep. Especially since it was with someone who isn't a dr and can't write prescriptions. My whole reason for therapy was to get on antidepressants. She wanted me to wait to see the actual dr until she got to know me. So now I have a huge bill that I will have to make payments on and I'm in a worse position than I was before starting therapy."
"Stay very far away. I was turned away after not having paper work finished, and being 2 minutes late. The receptionist showed no empathy or remorse when I stood in the lobby in tears because I would have to reschedule and wait another month before I could get help. I wouldn't recommend going as the staff will likely roll their eyes and pretend like you don't have emotions. Clients need a place that is warm and welcoming, because honestly it takes a ton of courage to ask for this sort of help. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place, to ensure that you actually get the help you need."
"I ended up in the hospital due to my visit to Center for Healing and Happiness (CHH). My recommendation is to go to another practice. On my first visit to CHH they prescribed me a new medication and we set a followup appointment for three weeks following. Two days before my appointment, the office admin from CHH called to inform me that my appointment was canceled. When asked, they provided no explanation as to why. I let them know that I was having issues with the medication that they prescribed and asked to see another of their psychiatrists to which they refused. The soonest they were able to reschedule my appointment to deal with the adverse side effects was approximately a month out. I asked for advise from the doctor to which I received no reply. The week following I ended up going to the Emergency Room to which they were able to get information from one of their on staff psychiatrists and set a schedule to take me off of the prescription that the Center for Healing and Happiness had prescribed. I thought about starting a lawsuit against CHH and a separate claim against the psychiatrist I was assigned due to their negligent behavior. However, I've always lived by one philosophy: "Things in life make you bitter or better, you're the only one who decides." I felt it was best for me to cut my losses and instead find another psychiatrist. My hope is that this review reaches someone whose life may have possibly been altered for the worse by CHH but rather, upon reading this review went to another psychiatrist."
