"I recently switched my psychiatrist & was put with Dr.Shelley & hands down, absolutely top notch care. How kind and caring she is, something I’m not use to. From the kindness to the receptionist and how everyone was smiling and laughing with one another while waiting for my apt to start which may I add, on time, barely waited. I was quite impressed. Dr.Shelley addressed everything I wanted to talk about & made me feel like everything I spoke on was listened too. I highly recommend this office. Absolutely professional & demonstrated top notch care."
"Currently going here seeing Dr. Stelson and the lady working under him Beth. It has all started going downhill since my original Dr. Sarah stopped working there. I'm only continuing to do so as Idk where else to go. My most recent experience with them has been extremely unprofessional. It's a 50 minute drive and 2 of my appointments were cancelled when I was already halfway or more to said appointments. I'm unable to work right now due to my intense anxiety/depression. I've been without pay 2 months going on 3 and I've needed them to fill out simple paperwork to help me receive temporary disability paid leave. All they have to do is fill out is literally 1 page with 5 questions, but was told its "too much". I've called many times to talk to figure things out and have yet to receive even a quick call back after almost a month. I now see they just want their money as I'm obviously not a priority to them. The meds are the only thing keeping me going as I can not function too well without them right now. Would not recommend going here unless you absolutely need to be on meds, because they will definitely do that for you."
"I have been going here for a few years now. I first started with Dr. Stelson who I originally did not want as a doctor but was the only one who was available at the time. I felt as if I was his guinea pig and the medication he gave me for depression only made me worse. After months of trying different medication with him and being on six different pills a day, I have decided to switch to a PA in the office. I made an appointment three months in advance and was all set for Sep 20 2023. However I started working and needed a new appointment that worked better with my work schedule. I went and asked the front desk to change my appointment to a later time and they were able to get me in Sep 28 2023 @ 5pm. I have been waiting for month to see someone and get the help I need. I have been struggling through horrible depression and I'm on no medication because I have ran out of everything I had. I was truly looking forward for this appointment and to finally get the help I need. However, this clinic failed me and failed the mental health system. They called me to let me know I was unable to see the PA because the person at the desk changed my appointment for 30 minutes rather then giving me the full hour I need as a first time patient with this PA. I was told I can be rescheduled in December. I was also given the option to be rescheduled with a new employee that was still in training (like I need to become another person's guinea pig) My purpose of this appointment was to get tested for what medication works best with my body and get the help I finally need but now I have to look else where, in the meantime I will continue to struggle do to this clinic and the choices that they have made not to help the ones in need. They are willing to see someone in pain, in their horrible thoughts then do what they can to fix their mistake and get a patient in. If you are looking for help this is not the place for you. Mental health is not what these people care about, its about making the most money on their own time. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE ON THIS1"
"We came here because it was the only opening we could find for a pediatric psychiatrist. We ended up getting a telehealth appointment with Autumn, a nurse practitioner. As others have mentioned, the enrollment process was not smooth. First, it was hard to even get the right person on the phone. Then, we were sent a bunch of email attachments that we had to print, fill out and return within 48hrs. Lots of highly sensitive information that we were required to send as an email attachment. In this day and age, That's ridiculous. We waited months for our appointment. We were told that the provider would call at the appointment time. Well, 10 minutes in, no call. I called the office. "She's probably just running late." 20 minutes in I called the office and got someone slightly more helpful. They attempted to contact her and couldn't get in touch. We gave up. Finally received a call from the provider 30 minutes past our scheduled appointment time. We had a rushed appointment (like the whole thing was over in 30 minutes) even though there was a lot of information gathering that should have been done. I don't feel as though she thoroughly understood or treated the issues. After months of stress and desperation, this was a huge letdown and source of frustration. We recently learned that pediatricians can prescribe psychiatric medication, and since our pediatrician was willing to take on the case, we transferred care to her. This isn't ideal but with the shortage of pediatric psychiatrists, and the nonsense we experienced with Cruz clinic, it feels like the only viable option for now. I don't recommend this clinic. Don't waste your time."
"The Cruz Clinic has been working with & treating my 15 year old daughter now for awhile. She does have clinical depression & anxiety and she has been seeing an amazing therapist and wonderful PA for her psychiatrist appointments who usually does have a college student with her- she does ask every time if we are comfortable and ok with the student being involved in the appointment (which we always agree to) that have really helped my daughter “discover a healthier version of herself” (her own words). They have always been very kind, understanding, warm & patient with her. My daughter implements coping strategies she has learned during therapy and is a lot more open with all of us at home and has been doing very well. It did take a little bit of time to find the right “formula” that worked for her and her team always took their time during her appointments, never rushing her because of time or pushing for responses if she was uncomfortable. They have always made her feel heard and that she is their priority during her sessions and appointments. Even the front desk staff has always been friendly, calm and welcoming. And because of the amazing care of treatment my daughter has received from the Cruz Clinic my husband made an appointment with them and started only a few weeks ago with a therapist through the Cruz Clinic (and he is not one that is all too comfortable talking & opening up to anyone as this has only ever been his second experience with a therapist since he has been an adult) and his therapist and the Cruz Clinic’s staff has impressed him just as much as well and made him comfortable in a setting he usually is not. He has only had 2-3 therapy sessions and is already communicating more often with all of us at home and does seem less stressed and more relaxed. The Cruz Clinic has also been very accommodating as well when things just come up last minute that affect scheduled appointments which in my own personal experience can be hard to manage. I can’t thank the Cruz Clinic enough for their devotion of care to two of the greatest loves in my life and would highly recommend their services."
