"After years of struggling wit my issues i get a glimmer of hope to an actual diagnosis. Just over a year from first scheduling an appointment, they finnaly preform a procedure i couldnt get other DRs to. They see multiple ulcers in my small intestine, waited weeks for the results and the doctor schedules me for a more through test. When i am wheeled into the operating room everything changes because the DR didnt give me the correct prep. Now after what was supposed to be a 4 hour procedure turned into 30 minutes. SOMEHOW these ulcers magically disappeared, with no explanation at all and am still waiting 8 weeks later for any input from the DR. So when i follow up with their office the nurse tells me "its just IBS". These DRs dont seem to care at all about thier patients because they still get paid whether we feel better or not. My whole life has been ruined by the pain and misery of whatever is wrong with me. If the last 2.5 years hasnt been enough to remove faith left in the "medical field" this damn sure is the last straw. I struggle to find a reason to even continue day to day with such intense gaslighting by so called professionals. Update: After a call to patient relations and a formal complaint against Dr. MARGARET BLANEY a false diagnosis was added to my medical record. CHS was added without any testing whatsoever and was done throught retaliation. The diagnosis has severely affected how i am treated by other physicians and organizations. This is turn has lead to a significant delay in care for other legitimate illnesses/issues. I dont understand how this "person" can even sleep at night. Intellectually dishonest at best. Seeing as U of M makes it clear they do not care whatsoever about their patients, i will be pursuing legal counsel."
"The man who answered the phone when I requested information about the Comprehensive Pancreatic Center was extremely rude and pompous. He cut me off repeatedly. He made it clear that his job was to deny people access to the program. It was bizarre and I felt indicative of the quality of the U of M Comptrehensive Pancrease program. I got into the Cleveland Clinic pancrease Center. Impressed with 1st call onward. It is quite a drive for me, but worth it."
"Waste of time. Dr. I had felt as though a psychologist would solve my EoE esophagus spasm and my extreme stomach cramping, diarrhea and heart burn. She was a lazy doctor who lacked sympathy and knowledge and didn’t listen to her patients needs."
"Feel I'm being denied service because of my illness and the color of my skin, I was told they don't have any appointments available after my video visit was canceled TODAY! And have no availability next year 2024. So what are they telling me"
"Unfortunately, this clinic is not what it used to be. The recent move of Dr. Kinnucan is greatly felt. I was assigned to Dr. Cushing who relies solely on the portal messaging for my care. There has been no follow-up after placing me on a new biologic (despite my requests.) Multiple bowel infections have also not been followed up with after antibiotic treatments. Antibiotic delays have been up to two weeks. I was also given unnecessary antibiotics for a condition I did not have, confirmed by another GI at the clinic. This resulted in multiple cases of CDIFF in one year. My current pain was not addressed despite my messaging and calls. I finally decided to make the move to Henry Ford who saw me in person and quickly. They confirmed that I need surgery. U of M doctors have too much on their plate."
