"This was my first experience going to this place in South Lyon. I’m 35 and I was nervous to go only for the fact I had neglected my health for the past 5 years and knew I needed to start addressing it. I really didn’t know where to start. I saw Dr. Lauren Carney and she was excellent. She spent more time than I would have ever expected with me. I felt she genuinely listened to my concerns and showed no judgment. I left with multiple things addressed and so much guidance of where to start to get the ball rolling. I have more confidence of taking control of my health and felt so good I took that first step. Her assistant was very friendly and helpful too."

"Dietician services were a waste of my time and I felt unheard and was not taken care of in the way that I needed. Both the secretaries and the dietician were very nice, but did not meet my needs. The dietician was 15 minutes late to get me for my 50 minute appointment and she still only gave me 35 minutes. This is ridiculous as I paid for 50 minutes!!! She also spent several minutes of my appointment talking about her husband's issues and her personal life which I understand she was trying to relate to me but it took up several minutes of only 35 minutes I was given. In the middle of my appointment, a random nurse came in and filled up her water bottle (???) so I felt like my privacy was violated. I also had to wait almost 5 days for the patient portal to be updated with my patient plan due to an issue on their end apparently. I called twice before I got this information and no one informed me of this delay so I figured out my own plan myself. I also stated that I wanted help coming up with a meal plan since my ailments contradict each other in terms of diet, but I was not given assistance with that. Everything I was told I could have Googled myself."

"Staff could not transfer my surgical clearance letter over due to failed fax. They couldn't come up with an alternative and places patients at risk of getting their surgery cancelled and postponed."

"I have been to IHA two times now and had wonderful treatment. I saw Christine Burkeen, PA both times and found her to be very caring, friendly and best of all took care of my medical issue immediately. The staff was wonderful and friendly. Very good care here! I would highly recommend this urgent care."

"I have been seeing Dr. Mark Zawisa for 14 years and he is the best Doctor I have ever had. He takes his time with you and isn't in a rush to get out of the room. He will answer your questions! He transferred from IHA Brighton Family Care and I followed him to IHA Family Medicine - South Lyon cause I didn't want a new Doctor. The staff here is very nice and friendly here to. Great service and they get you in very quickly. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a Doctor. They also have a Urgent Care in the same office."
