"I had my annual checkup with Dr Delle Donne yesterday (Thursday, Jan 12, 2023) which reminded me of the following. Dr Delle Donne is a great doctor and surgeon. In January 2015, I was fortunate enough for him to be my doctor and surgeon for my ileostomy (removal of my colon due to severe ulcerative colitis). Now (8 years later) I am still thanking him for giving me my life back! However, I don't get to see (and thank) him very often now. He did such a good job that I only get to see him once a year (for annual follow up visits to be sure all is well). The surgery and learning to live with an ostomy were no picnic but the only question I ever ask is "Why didn't I have it done sooner?""
