"Went in for a follow up with Ben a PA and left feeling devastated and dismissed. I explained to him a diagnosis I’d received from the physical therapist I was referred to which he stated, “I don’t know much about that.” Totally not a problem. I explained some of the things this diagnosis causes and how because of it my body doesn’t respond like we’d normally expect. We continue with the appointment as normal deciding on a treatment plan. He leaves to check with my insurance and finds out the office doesn’t even offer the treatment plan we’d agreed on. He then informed me that they have exhausted all their options to help me and there is nothing more that can be done. They will reach out if it becomes available in the future. He made some suggestions and berated me while I attempted to explain that in most patients that is helpful but because of my condition my body will not produce the expected results. He doubled down continued to belittle and berate me repeatedly saying they cannot not help me and nothing else can be done. I’d asked if I could leave and then asked him TWICE to leave the room. After the first request he stood up and walking backwards but continuing I can seek a second opinion or see the actual doctor but there is nothing more that can be done. As if this wasn’t enough of a mental challenge, when I read the after patient summary he documents the WRONG DIAGNOSIS. Even after I had explicitly explained how I didn’t NOT have that disease and how it DIFFERS from my actual diagnosis. (Hey doc. I found out I am deathly allergic to peanuts, oh one moment, here I found you a peanut butter bar.) If you don’t have the ability to help someone, that’s fine but seriously check your misconceived bigoted biases at home. You literally took extra time to snuff away my hope, ensuring I understood how Helpless I am. All while telling me they treat several patients with my disease who’ve had success so it must be my fault."

"I decided to have my “baby toe” xrayed after smacking it a week earlier on a metal chair leg. I was impressed at how short the wait was to be seen at SBO walk in clinic. The x ray was read immediately & I saw a PA . Yes, it was broken! I came in wearing a “post opp” boot that I was in this past winter for 6 week when I broke my large toe. Ugh I have an apt for 2 weeks with Dr Beaver ( who I have seen before) Very quick , the staff was very professional & caring . I would highly recommend going to the SBO a walk in clinic !"

"There was no wait. The staff was kind and helpful. Megan was through, kind and explained things to me well. The only negative thing was that I was in a lot of pain when I walked and I had to walk to x-Ray and back. I did share how painful it was but was not offered a wheelchair. Turns out I have to be non-weight bearing."

"SBO Now is so convenient. Everyone so friendly. McKenzie is Awesome! No appointment needed. Wait time has been under 15 minutes on both of my walk visits."

"Tried to call three times, ling holds so couldn’t wait more than 15 min. Looked online. The SB Ortho urgent care online ad said open til 5, got there at 4:28 and was told they won’t take anymore patients. Lady and teen son checks in after me and they took him. Desk clerk said his was an ankle and mine was shoulder, and they didn’t have any shoulder drs avail after 4:30!! Waste of my time, went to lakeshore bone and joint and joint in Portage- had an X-ray within 5 min of arrival."
