"I usually don’t leave reviews but after the wonderful care, kindness, and compassion every staff member we came in concat with showed my family I knew I needed to. We came to them with our three year old beloved dog having none stop seizures for 36 hours. He was tried and done fighting, they greeted us with open arms and made our Ozzy as comfortable as possible in his last moments. We were supported and walked through everything that would happen, and Ozzy knew kindness from these wonderful strangers. In one of the hardest nights of our life, the staff were there for us in every way they could be, and later sent us a beautiful card sharing their condolences. Thank you to everyone who helped us through those moments. If you’re ever faced with an emergency of any kind for your pet I can’t recommend them enough"
"Such a great ER for your pets! I took my dog here last year and had a wonderful experience. Most recently i brought in my kitten who was very sick. I called 4 other ERs all around Metro Detroit and all had a wait of 6+ hours. We drove in the snowstorm and upon arrival we were checked (within a minutes) and treated all in about an hour. The staff was so polite, educated and comforting. Anytime i called back with a concern or question the Dr. answered everything i had asked. Happy to say shes feeling much better !!! Thank you!!!!Appreciate your service! :)"
"We took our dog there due to a blockage. They were very transparent. Completed a very long surgery removing 3 feet of his intestines. Every time I called to check in or ask questions they were extremely helpful. The surgery was very critical but he pulled through! Doctor and staff were great. They only thing I wished is they would have done his post op check without charging me the $125 fee. I expected a visit fee but not an emergency fee after paying just shy of 7G for the surgery. We really wanted to take him back where he was a little used to after being there a couple days but also where they knew his needs best. But honestly in the grand scheme of things they were great. Prices were confirmed at another vet for same procedure and it was not much different than there."
"This posting is a warning to other pet parents in memory of our beloved cat Crush aka BOC (Big Orange Cat). Crush was only 6 years and 5 months old when he passed away. He passed away less than 24 hours after visiting Veterinary Emergency Services on 08/27/23. Please know this post is not to place blame on Veterinary Emergency Services for the loss of our cat. We took Crush to this facility because he was lethargic and vomiting. After making several calls, they were open, close to home, and willing and able to see him. The Vet said his bladder “appeared” full, and his vitals were normal, but it could be a blockage. Not knowing for sure, we went with the other option presented, which was to give him "something" for pain, "something" to calm him, "something" for nausea, and "something" to increase his appetite. I agreed to this alternative, and this is where I failed Crush! I never inquired what medications were going to be administered and I was not allowed in the room but had to remain in my vehicle while he was treated. I would never allow my human child to be given any unnamed medication, nor would I allow this to happen if I am not present. After my immediate sadness lifted and the anger subsided, I decided to research the medications that were given to him. Among the medications given, Crush was given Convenia. Not all pets have a negative reaction to this medication, but some will. Crush did. Please spare yourself the heartache of losing a member of your family. Whenever your pet is prescribed any medication find out what the medication is and do some research BEFORE the medication is administered. It is not worth the risk involved, not too. Thank you for taking the time to read this post."
