"My dog has been a patient at West Woodward Animal Clinic the last 2 years. His routine visits have always been easy, low-stress and comfortable (Forrest Gump is a 90lb lab). We recently had a medical emergency. Dr. John was responsive and coached me through what to do at home step-by-step before I was able to get to the clinic. Once we arrived, Forrest was given immediate care and I was able to leave that evening with a healthy pup. Dr. John and the whole staff at West Woodward Animal Clinic are friendly, approachable, and affordable animal lovers. I recommend them to friends and family 10/10!"

"My new resue GSD did not like the first vet I found (he growled and had to be muzzled when I took him there). The 2nd Vet I took him to was older, and is very respected in Detroit, but he has horrible wait times, and does not really keep good records. My dog loved him and behaved PERFECTLY, but then my dog became sick, and the 4+ hour wait time each visit, plus the low/no real record keeping made it hard for me to keep up with his "treatments", and time wise, I just could NOT continue to wait for HOURS for no diagnosis. One of my neighbors recommended West Woodward, and I was able to get an appt within a week or so, and although Dr. John could not get records from my previous vet (nor could I), he made some recommendations and tried some treatments, and then figured out that my dog probably had EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insuffiency), a rare condition. The test was expensive, but not as expensive as some of the other test/guesses from the previous vet, and EPI is what my dog has. The treatment is simple, my dog LOVES the entire staff, and I truly appreciate the way the staff treats me and my dog. They are sensitive to pricing, and try to get me more economical pricing, and they love my dog. They are near my home, but even if I had to drive for an hour each way, I would continue to take my dog there. I really appreciate the staff, and the Doctors at West Woodward and will recommend them to EVERYONE I meet."

"West Woodward is one of the best clinics you can take your animal to. Plain and simple. I pup was having some pain and took him into West Woodward and found out he needed to have surgery. Doctor John and his staff went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smooth, including his recovery. I cannot be more grateful for the work that they do and would absolutely recommend them to everyone. Also, enjoy the picture of Peanut Butter while still in his recovery donut, but trying to stay festive!"

"We had a scary experience this summer when our cat, Gizmo was diagnosed with acute injury in multiple organs after possibly ingesting a toxin. We were told there was a strong possibility she wasn't going to make it without hospitalization. We didn't have the means to send her to a place that would charge $4-5k a day or the flexibility to send her to a less expensive one that was over an hour away, so Dr. John developed a plan to care for her in the office. This allowed us to be nearby in case of an emergency and to be able to bring her home at the end of every day. I'm certain that her being home at night with us during this traumatic experience is what gave her the strength to get better. Dr. John and his staff were so helpful and communicative during the entire recovery process and we're thrilled that Gizmo is now back to her old self again. We now have a vet for life and we will recommend West Woodward Animal Clinic to all our friends/family."
