The Northern Center

"This place is just weird, it's like someone put up a big pole barn and then decided to open a restaurant. We went to dinner w some friends and then to a comedy show afterwards. They have an "event space" as well. We were there on prime rib night and my portion was delicious. It came with a generous salad and choice of a side. I chose their "special" potatoes and they were not special. The best I can give them was a meh. So basically I enjoyed a salad and a slab of meat. Our waitress was very friendly but equally confused. It took her 4 tries to get our bills sorted. Bless her heart. For the comedy piece, we had a last minute stand in (pun intended) and at his introduction one would have thought he was Jay Leno. We were promised sore cheeks, more on that in a minute. There was a warm up guy that was completely forgettable and our infamous substitute was, well, to be kind, very disappointing. So we had sore cheeks alright, but on our backsides, not our faces. I think maybe we were not sufficiently lubricated, because the woman next to us, who was generously so, found him HIGHlarious. Oh well, we enjoyed our friends and a chance to get out. I wouldn't say 'don't go' for dinner, just prepare yourself for the lack of ambiance and terrible acoustics."

"I had a wonderful weekend here. The northern center hosted witches weekend and they were amazing. A clean and welcoming safe environment. Full bar and food menu available. The drinks were affordable and wicked just like all the witches that attended. The food and hospitality were excellent also. I will be joining them every year for this if they are the host. Definitely would recommend. They also host all sorts of other events not just this event I went to."
