"They literally hire anybody to drive their buses it seems.The bus driver last year was very sweet and the kids loved her.This new driver has a very nasty attitude and my son told me he doesn't want to take the bus anymore.Her attitude is very "I'm only here for a check"..Of course when you call to report their driver you can tell they're not going to do anything about it.They obviously need drivers so that's why they allow drivers to get away with so much.Shes drives very recklessly and her attitude clearly lets me know those kids safety is not her priority at all"

"my daughter is special needs & more on the nonverbal side. it’s a hassle to get my daughter ready for school in the mornings. she’s not a morning person. so i try my best to get her up and ready LONG BEFORE the bus arrives at 6:45am. i get off work FROM THE CASINO AT 4 AM!! mind you, i’m already up and getting all 5 of my children ready for school because I’m ready for bed.! tell me why the bus driver sees my special needs child putting her shoes on & just takes off? my door was wide open because we were aware the bus arrived.! i do understand the bus driver was waiting for no more than 5 mins before deciding to take off but my daughter was moving on the slower side because again SHE’S SPECIAL NEEDS."

"Dispatcher hung up in my face the bus was parked at the wrong house.I simply asked why are they at the wrong house.She got argumentative and hung up in my face I hate that my son attends this district!"

"They are not equipped a special needs kids and they are completely disrespectful the bus driver has absolutely no courtesy are used to think that VDPS transportation had some of the best drivers but now it seems yall will hire just anyone off the street I’m ready to pull my daughter from the bus and begin driving her myself. There’s absolutely NO communication and they aren’t even asking for IDs when my daughter gets picked up by the babysitter. Especially being a new school year , she could’ve been taken just by anyone.. in front of my own house. Also these bus drivers are not trained properly, or in safety. I was told if my daughter were to have a seziure they couldn’t distribute the medicine and just to call 911. I’m really disappointed in VDPS transportation."

"Was told my son could'nt get transportation to school because he was not special education. The bus picks up right in front of our house yet he is forced to walk a mile to school alone because it looks as if every kid over here gets on the bus except for him. How are you gonna only be concerned with the safety of only one group of children?! Let me as a parent not do my part they would have cps all over me!..smh at the Van Dyke School district on this one!"
