"Great school awesome staff Mrs. Rudd a kindergarten teacher here is the best most amazing teacher she goes above and beyond for her students she really is the best teacher ever and would recommend trying to get her as a teacher for ur lil student as far as the school great stuff from the front desk to the custodians they r all polite and just amazing!!! The only bad thing is the principal just wasnt there one day then they brought the assistant principal over from westveiw over to be principal here at Schofield the other principal was amazing do patient and wonderful with the kids she also went above and beyond for the students and now she is just gone which really sucks when she was just awesome I dont really care for the new principal at all she just doesnt seem to have the patience the other one had and she doesnt seem to be as good with the kids!!!"
"I attended this school from pre-k until 5th. grade. I'm still living within walking distance but no longer live at home with my parents. When the school closed I wondered why and started worrying about when the time comes to enroll my son into speech therapy how far it would be, considering I still unfortunately do not own a vehicle (and he starts pre-school in less than two months). They did a great thing upon re-opening and dividing the classmates and teachers. So now..... Schofield is now Head Start, Pre-School and Kindergarten (great start readiness program GSRP). So they took ALL pre-school and kindergarten teachers out of Westview and Mound Park, now Schofield is strickly pre-school, GSRP and Kindergarten. Then Westview (which is about a mile North from Schofield) is from first grade to third grade. Mound Park is fourth and fifth grade. Chatterton Middle School is grades six through eighth. Then last but not least, Fitzgerald High is nineth grade until GRADUATION DAY!!! MY Dad attended Fitzgerald Public Schools, so did my two oldest brothers and myself. Not too long before summer break of 2018 a grant/proposal was PASSED!!! So Schofield will be going through some major and really great things like... *updating the playground equipment *resurfacing the blacktop *installing a new PA system *new clocks will also be installed *getting more updated things such as computers and such *and other things as well The staff here at Schofield is a pleasure to work with and they are all very nice and friendly. The school itself is kept well maintained and the environment is a positive one. I'm thrilled for my son to start preschool (not as thrilled as him though). Every Monday and Thursday when he attended speech therapy, this little one did NOT want to leave. Let's just hope his excitement to learn and his dedication is something he carries with him beyond graduation day! But he's only four, let's not rush anything. It already seems as though these past four years have gone by so fast."
"My son attends Kindergarten here, he loves it here! There is a lot of homework and I'm okay with that because I think they are a good school and it's academic preparation. They have a great curriculum and they take literacy very seriously. He is excelling socially and academically and he has a great teacher, Ms. Lau. There are a few things they could build on ( but what school doesn't) but overall in the social, academic, behavioral, family involvement department I think they do a great job. They are very passionate about their students and building their character development as well as challenging them academically."
"This school sucks! My child is pulled out of his class before he can finish his school work because his teacher can't be bothered to deal with a classroom full of kids so she pawns them off on someone else. Because of this he ends up having to bring more work home to do and he loses more and more of his time to do the things he likes doing. There's been a few times he's been sent home, I've received a phone call or was sent home with a note about his behavior but as soon as another classmate does something to him it's perfectly acceptable."
"Schofield was the best school, it sadly closed, I miss all my friends and the teachers, but I'm happy and I miss them, it was such a beatiful school, it was a shame that it had to close..."
