Michigan Math & Science Academy Elementary Lorraine

"I do not recommend this school. My son was stabbed twice by 2 different students. Another student was also stabbed by the same student as my son. The students we never expelled at that time for the stabbing, they continued to attend MMSA (Lorraine). My son was treated unfairly with every situation. My son is traumatized by all that has happened and the way he was treated unfairly. I have another son that also attended and both my boy's witnessed the Principal (Ms. Murray) and assistant Principal (Ms. Woosley) lie about certain situations directly to me after seeing what actually happened themselves, neither of these 2 staff members really know what they are doing or know how to handle certain situations fairly with all children. They try to manipulate situations to their advantage instead of helping the children and parents. This is not the kind of school I want for my children."

"MMSA is my school of choice for many reasons. My daughter and nieces have gone to this school since Kindergarten. All of the teachers have been AMAZING! Ms. Lonczynski played a major role in getting my daughter acclimated to school and preparing her to be a successful student. I am grateful to have great partners like MMSA educating my children. I recommend them and can honestly say that if you give them a try you will not regret your decision."

"My Daughter has been going to this school since kindergarten and is now in the third grade. In kindergarten we were blessed to have Ms. Lonczynski who was so kind, caring and patient and helped me set my daughter up for success. We have Mrs.McDermott this year who is just as patient and kind and great with resources and teaching my young lady as all the teachers hhave been. The school is great because it caters to young elementary school miss without having g to worry about the older grades. . the kids feel empowered here.. This is their school.. We love MMSA Elementary on Lorraine."

"My daughter has been going to Michigan Math and Science Academy since Kindergarten. She is now in First Grade and we absolutely adore her teacher Mrs. Sullivan. She is very sweet and truly does have the heart and patience needed to guide students each day. She recognizes each child’s abilities and challenges them in positive ways pushing them to and above their goals. Her passion and dedication shows through my daughter’s academic progress and I am very proud she is a student of hers."
