"If they didn't offer good prices on my dog's medicine, I would never choose Costco pharmacy. Their hours are terrible. They call or text and say your prescription is ready, but when you get there they tell you it isn't ready and you'll have to come back in 1/2 an hour. This happens constantly and I've seen it happen to multiple people. I think they might do it on purpose to trick you into shopping. Pretty scummy practice. Don't tell me it's ready when it isn't, or if it is ready, don't tell me I need to come back in 20 minutes just to trick me into shopping."

"I'm really not pleased with how the pharmacist handled my vet's order for a prescription, on top of that they gave the vet a lot of issues and had to call back 3 times before they understood what it was that we wanted. They basically told me they won't fill it - not because they don't have it, just that they can't do it. This is a prescription that usually needs to be ordered, as I get the same thing at Walmart, I just heard I could get it cheaper at Costco. Nope. Won't order it. Why? No answer. Something about not allowed or not approved. Pharmacist discretion is what Costco customer support told me. This is a simple prescription for lactated ringers solution, similar to saline, not a controlled substance at all. So I called one of the Grand Rapids Costco pharmacies and they said no problem, I know exactly what you need but we'll have to order it. I declined because I should be able to get this at the Costco that's 5 minutes away. I am sticking with Walmart. If this is how they handle pet medications, I don't think I'd bother with human ones."
