Huron Valley Hospital Psychiatry

"The birthing center is lovely, but that's the only good part of this hospital. Outside of the birthing center the doctors are stuck up, rude, and don't care about their patients one bit. The nurses aren't educated enough since they did my fathers trache wrong multiple times. Sent him to a rehabilitation center before they should've. They truly did not care about my father, who passed away from their awful care and decision making. I would never recommend or send a loved one here after that horrible experience."

"I was admitted on 2/18 for heart palpitations and minor chest pain. Went to the ER and got into a room almost right away. They admitted me and was in a regular room with in 2 few hours for observations and testing.. Every single person I dealt with during my over night stay were extremely wonderful and professional. What impressed me the most was that the guy in the bed next to me had a problem with something the hospital did (admissions/billing) that the hospital staff was not aware of. When they got to the bottom of this and found out it was a new procedure in billing that they were not aware, pretty much every one and their mother offered apologizes to the guy, including the people that were directly involved...they even sent him flowers!! I would not hesitate to go HVSH ever.. Good Hospital.."

"I gave birth here April 2015 and it was truly a great experience. Not quite sure why some reviews are saying the CCN nurses were horrible because my own son had to stay there for 3 weeks while I was at home and they were nothing but helpful. They allowed me to visit whenever I wanted, even at 1am, and answered all my questions and phone calls regardless of when I called. They took amazing care of my baby boy. I loved them so much I even made a whole basket of goodie bags for them. I felt at home with my bed side nurses as well. It was my first time truly staying at a hospital and they all have helped me through it with grace. Thank you Huron Valley Staff! :)"

"The Harrison Birthing Center is where my sister had my nephew almost two weeks ago, and the nurses that took care of her were awesome. Unfortunately my nephew had to go to the critical care nursery. Unlike the nurses that took care of his mom, my nephews nurses where not as good. Some of them are just rude and some act like it’s just a job. My opinion if you’re going to be caring for sick babies you should have the passion for it!! Not have the attitude of I’m just here for the pay check. That’s not even the worst of it. One of the nurses came in the unit really sick, coughing really badly. And now my nephew is congested and sick. If you’re sick you should not be allowed to work in the CCN PERIOD……. That could be really bad for those babies. And his nurses thought it would be better to let him sleep then to change his diaper, because they didn’t want to wake him up. So instead my nephew had a rash so bad on his butt that is was almost raw and bleeding. The poor baby couldn’t even lay on his back because his butt hurt so bad. Luckily he is doing better, but still not the point. If one of us as parents did that and a nurse or someone seen it we would be charged with neglect. So why is it ok for the nurses to get away with caring for our babies this way??? My sister is still trying to talk to the unit doctor and my nephew’s doctor to make sure this does not happen again to my nephew or any other baby for that matter. I personally told her that if it was my baby I would have him transferred to a different hospital and that is still not out of the question for her depending on what the doctors do. So I would defiantly not recommend the Critical Care Nursery at Huron Valley for your sick baby’s needs."

"My wife just had our second child at the Harris Birthing Center. We could not be more pleased with the level of care we received. All of the staff are exceptional at their jobs and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We would highly recommend the Harris Birthing Center at Huron Valley to all our friends and family."
