"My first time eating here and it was exceptional! The food was amazing; I tried the 4 course tasting menu and it was A LOT of delicious food. The wait staff was amazing and our waitress helped with suggesting wines that would pair well with my meal. The atmosphere was lovely; not too loud so I could have a conversation without yelling. A wonderful dining experience and I will be back!"

"I thought the food exceeded expectations with unexpected flavours and reasonable Portions. We did the 6 course chefs tasting and would do it again 5 x over. The staff were efficient, polite, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the steak and scallops along with the espresso martini. Willl be coming again."

"Fantastic experience! Each plate was prepared with clear intention and thoughtfulness. They were simple and yet elegant, letting the ingredients shine through. And the plating was absolutely beautiful. Definitely put this one on the list of places to go for a special occasion. Service was professional. The pace of the food was perfect. "Really enjoy Oak & Reel! We were looking for a dinner place before seeing Metallica. The waiter was very personable and we found out he used to live in Franklin, TN. Small world. He had: Octopus Langoustine Lumache (squid ink, shrimp, crab, fine herbs) Blec (wild boar ragu, buckwheat and pickled currants) Halibut Swordfish Chocolate Panna Cotta (pistachio, cardamom granita) Everything was good but the octopus was the best dish! Parking was easy."

"In summary: there’s nothing bad about this restaurant but it’s not necessarily impressive in any aspect. We tried the tasting menu and while it was good, it wouldn’t be something we’d go back for - especially compared to the tasting menu at Freya next door which had better flavours, presentation, and portions (and cheaper surprisingly). I can’t say the food was worth the $117 pp here. Service was good though and it was a nice atmosphere."
