"They like to delete negative reviews and hide the truth. I attended Nuvo over 10 years ago and it was the worst school/experience of my life. Racism was apparent by not only students but customers coming in. I did 6-8 clients a day and sometimes missed lunch which is ILLEGAL. The owner is a scam artist and this school has had problems with money laundering. The owner also accused students of straight up lies to try to expell them and keep their money. But as soon as talk of a lawyer was involved she caved and changed her tune. COMPLETE SCAM ARTISTS. I BEGGED TO LEARN AND HAVE CLASS AND NOBODY WOULD TEACH ME ANYTHING. INSTEAD I JUST A BUNCH OF MONEY FOR THEM. DONT GO HERE, PLEASE!!!"

"They do good work as the students are supervised sometimes they are more skilled than order tines as today I had a girl that I was her first client but my hair turned out great better than some places that have licensed beauticians. They tapered my undercut more by using both the 1 5 and 2 inch guard and blended and gave a deal with it being only the undercut."

"Amazing permanent wave in my very, long difficult hair. I am thin on top and have to wear my hair up. I wanted very curly results and I got just that. Wonderful job. Shylar worked on it from the time I got there at 9: 30 AM until I left at closing time, 2 PM in the afternoon. The help and advice of her instructor was spot on and between them and a very helpful student standing next to us, they gave me one of the best perms I have ever had! And, they did not cut off any more than the tips of my hair. You can imagine how patient they had to be as I am old and have many difficulties, but they took care of everything perfectly. I cannot recommend, Shylar, highly enough. She is so careful and thorough and very professional, kind and sweet as were all who offered student assistance, too.. The truly extraordinary instructor, who I thought was Mrs. Sutton ? (don't think I have her name exactly correct please make correction.) She checked every step of the way to accomplish this very difficult job. She recommended that Shylar do a "piggy back" set (is very time consuming). I don't recall anyone getting lunch. And, they used an acid perm... my personally requested perm. The results are phenomenal. I have used this school for several times whenever I lived here, during its varied transitions in location, etc. and always trusted them with my long hair. Never have been disappointed. I do not go to salons only rarely, about once a year now, so I am thrilled this perm will be around, piled in curls on top of my head which is only appropriate for someone 86. Thanks to you Shylar, and all from my heart and sorry we got water all over the floor. And Shy, as they call you, good luck when you graduate. You should be a wonderful cosmetologist. Julie George"
