"I’m really sad. This used to be a favorite. My wife and I went to dinner with a reservation on Valentine’s day, which we expected to be busy and in result to have longer wait times for food than usual. However, we did not expect it to be as bad as it was. We were sitting at our table for 30 minutes without any waiter or waitress coming to our table. We had to flag down who I can only assume was the manager/owner to take our drink orders. During and after that, the waitress for our section proceeded to take the drink and food orders of two tables adjacent to us that were seated 10 minutes after us. After 45 minutes a waiter who was working a different section came to take our orders. We immediately put in our orders for an appetizer and two entrees. Our hot appetizer came out cold. Then, 40 minutes later our entrees came. My wife ordered cacio e pepe, and I ordered lamb orecchiette. My “fresh” pasta was chewy, and my wife’s dish was far too oily with hardly any cheese. My wife and I were so excited for this dinner and planned to order two drinks each, an appetizer, two entrees, dessert, and coffee. But, as the night progressed and we realized the lack of service, we just wanted to spend as little as possible and get out of there as quickly as we could. We ended up picking the cheapest entrees, only ordering one drink each, and skipping out on dessert and coffee altogether. This was the worst service experience we have ever had, and the food was also nothing to write home about. We won’t ever be back to this restaurant or recommend to any friends or family."
"Great Italian upscale restaurant. The food was really good. I liked the mote subdued and quieter atmosphere. The bar was also good. I would recommend it"
"Food was phenomenal. Steak was perfectly cooked and the Petto Di Pollo Principessa was superb."
"Had a reservation for a few weeks leading up to our holiday dinner out with our adult kids (party of 5) and their significant others last night. We were seated on their outside patio in which plastic barriers had been constructed and patio heaters in place. It was 35 degrees out. Thinking we would be dining at an upscale restaurant, three of us had on dresses/skirts with open sandals. We were freezing and asked to be moved inside and were told that there were no more tables available. Needless to say, we ate with our coats on and were cold and the food also did not stay warm. There was no apology or no offer to make our uncomfortable situation any better. Our bill was $300 - definitely not the environment or service I would expect for that type of establishment. Had I known this was going to be the case, we would have chose another option or would have dressed appropriately. The patio was also not decorated at all for the holidays - I would have been better off booking an igloo somewhere, at least the igloos are decorated and we would have dresses for such. First and last time for this restaurant."
"We enjoyed a delightful evening at the Silver Spoon, agreeing with other reviews that it stands out as the finest authentic Italian restaurant in Metro Detroit. Celebrating our wedding anniversary, the owner, an exceptional host, enriched our experience by sharing insights about Italy, Puglia, and recommending a delightful primitivo wine. Our dinner included the m Carpaccio Di Manzo as an appetizer, followed by Orecchiette Al Ragù D’agnello (lamb ragú), Fettuccine Al Salmone Affumicato, Fettuccine Al Ragù Di Coniglio (rabbit ragú), and Fettuccine Al Ragù Di Salsiccia E Porri (sausage and leeks). Each pasta dish exceeded expectations, with the lamb and salmon particularly outstanding. To conclude the evening, the owner joined us, sharing laughs and surprising us with a delightful tiramisu and ice cream adorned with a candle. Highly recommend!"
