"Closed 1/20/17...This place used to be great. They offer all you can eat sushi but lately have been changing what can and cannot be ordered. The service was great and the waitresses are doing what they can but it seems like the cooks can't handle an in flow of people or orders sometimes waiting 45minutes to an hour for orders to reach our table. Little issues like the ice maker not working and drinking warm water."
"Even though I'm only giving the place 3 stars, I'd recommend it if you want excellent fish for more than reasonable prices. But you are going to have to sit at the bar and talk to the chef. He's a sushi master stuck in a joint where must of the locals want American style rolls and deep fried food. Tell him you love authentic Japanese sushi and really love great fish. Let him decide what to serve you. You wont regret it. So why the 3 stars? Everything else about the place. I couldn't even get green tea or sake to wash down my sushi. But I will be back anyway."
"If I could give it one star, I would. My fiance and I used to love this place, enough that we would go EVERY Friday for the all you can eat. A few weeks ago it really started going down hill. There was a chef that we had never seen, he was extremely rude to our waitress, scolding her in front of everyone and talking badly about the customers loud enough for all of us to hear. The sushi that day was horrible, he poured practically the whole bottle of spicy mayo on our rolls making them inedible and when our waitress tried to get us more he said no because it was 2 o'clock which is when the all you can eat ended that day. Our last trip there was even worse. The service was horrible although there were a total of 3 tables and 2 servers working. We constantly had to ask for the same things repetitively. Again, the sushi sucked but we decided not to complain this time, just pay and leave. Well since we didn't eat all of our disgusting sushi the chef demanded our waitress was pay the extra take out fee...but wasn't allowing us to take the food to go. So we had to pay for 2 all you can eat dinners and an extra fee for to go for sushi we didn't even get to eat. We will NOT be coming back ever again. Yes, the all you can eat is a wonderful deal and on a good day the sushi is amazing, but it's not worth the risk of getting terrible food and being over charged. We will be taking our business to The Black Pine from now on."
"We have been to Sushi Kami 3 times in the last couple months. I think the sushi is great! The price is great and the all you can eat deal is great ... but, the service is not all that great! Kind of slow on getting our orders and the server could not describe any of the sushi rolls that are on the list! One was named the Obama roll ... when asked what was in it the girl didn't know. For all I know it contained forced health care, lower wages and loss of personal freedoms with some Socialism sauce on top ... But the server didn't know. The place is not the nicest place to visit. It is dark and a bit crowded and they were playing rap music ... rap music in a sushi restaurant? And loud at that! There is just no excuse for that! We will probably go back because of the price but that's about it."
"The best sushi I've had downriver at a reasonable price. The staff is always on hand when you need them and are very cordial. The atmosphere is fine and I would rather have better sushi than to go down the street and pay out the rear for "scenery". It might take a bit longer during rushes but what can you expect for quality food."
