"Been coming to this place since dad took us every Sunday while still alive 70•s, 80’s. Then, most recently since it has been remodeled. We always get the same delicious food that tastes the same awesome happiness memories~ Dom dom mein soup (tiny thin pork, shrimp, fresh veg, noodles), Hong Kong Sizzling Steak w fresh sizzling veg, fried rice. Try it b/c nobody else has this- thank you, chef Bin Chen and daughter Chao, and her brother. Please don’t change the recipe -delicious! The place is super clean and brand new seating! Thank you for cooking delicious meals for us! ~ Gwendolyn and Paul (driving from Shelby Twp just to eat your yummy food)"

"The food is pretty good and the portions are huge. If you like spicy food, make a point to tell the waiter that you want it HOT. I ordered medium-hot and it was very mild."

"The chicken and garlic sauce was well cooked. The vegetables were very fresh, and you could tell the plate was hot off the grill. I am not a 'Chinese Food' eater, so this was a pleasant experience. Update: Shrimp and Garlic Sauce taste much better. Shrimp is clean, large, and juicy. Food is usually fresh and hot. Update as of March 2023: AS of late, the food here has really been hit or miss. They have given me some distasteful food the last two times (see pic $20 for this!) currently taking a break. Be careful with food....there may be different chefs/cooks, but not going back for a while it upset my stomach. Absolutely HIT OR MISS type of place!"

"I had been visiting Empress Garden for years. I stopped going because of the distance from where I lived. I visited recently and ordered sweet and sour chicken, which I asked for light soy sauce on the rice and was told that if I wanted new rice cooked, I would have to "order shrimp fried rice. (spend extra money for quality -better prepared food - I'm guessing ) "I asked for no MSG and was told, "well, it's in the food, and it's already prepared. "I received the food, drove 45 minutes away, opened the food, and it was old. The rice was grainy and had been mixed with other rice. There were three pieces of a whole - undercooked shrimp on top. The egg rolls were tasteless, and the customer service was frustrating. The gentleman who answered the phone was very condescending and more concerned with the profit. He eventually apologized Thank Goodness! I am still quite disappointed, and it's no secret why I have not been able to get their food. This is NOT the same place that l've visited before. I will not be returning, and I am saddened that they would send a customer out with food like that. My food was over $40, and I was still hungry - which required me to spend my additional hard-earned money. Please do better."
