Miller's Bar

"For all of those wondering if the bar and food stayed same after the Miller family sold…it did! Last night my burger was cooked to perfection, cheese melted perfectly, fresh bun, ice cold pop, and the same great service from Toni. For us it’s always worth the drive from the east side, not to mention it beings back a ton of memories for me as a kid. We found out last night they are going to be open on Sunday’s as well. So, I guess they did make one change, but it’s a good one! They have a huge back room with big screen tv’s to utilize as well. For all of you doubters out there who thought Miller’s Bar would change, rest assured that you will not be disappointed."

"The food is amply portioned with good sized burgers, a nice pile of fries. This place has always had good burgers with or without cheese. Be sure to ask for a side of pickles and onion slices if that is to your liking. The service was good and the wait staff was attentive. It's nice that they still operate on the honor system where you go up to the counter to pay for your meal once you're finished. I am a little concerned that they are pricing themselves out of the typical lunch spot business. A cheeseburger, fries and a can of soda was $19 plus tip."

"11/16/23 Yesterday I received a message from Google talking about the best hamburgers IN AMERICA. Number one on this list was Millers Bar right here in Michigan. Now I admit that it's been on my "places to go try out" list for years, so today I finally went. Talk about "anti-climatic". I found the place next to empty inside and it had no special ambience that I could detect. But, I was greeted immediately and had my order in for their legendary hamburger placed in less than 5 minutes. The Service was EXCELLENT and my order came out quickly (less than 10 minutes) and I looked forward to my first bite of the "Legend". I'm sorry to say that I am completely unimpressed. I can list dozens of places that have much more flavorful burgers. Phillips, Twin Peaks, Lake Pointe Yacht Club, Rick's Halftime, etc., etc. Even the local McDonald's double quarter pounder with cheese has MUCH more flavor. It was simply quite bland and flavorless. I will say that my Onion Rings were AMAZING. But overall I feel like the value for the price didn't exist. The Hamburger was $10.00, the Onion Rings were $5.50, and my 12 ounce CAN of Coke was $3.00. I was absolutely disappointed and will not be making this choice again. Now I'm NOT saying that it was bad, but there was nothing special about it. Maybe your experience will be better. Good luck. "This was my first time here. I heard they had the best cheeseburger in the Detroit area. It was very good. The service was fast and friendly. There was no waiting for a seat. There was plenty of free parking in the back of the building. I can't wait to stop back on my next trip to the area."
