"I've been to more than a half dozen Chicken Shacks from the now closed Port Huron location to Grosse Pointe to Riverview. The Ypsilanti location is by far the best. It is clean. The employees are friendly and efficient. The chicken is delicious. Many Chicken Shacks locations have been slacking off with their seasonings in the last few years. The Ypsilanti location serves chicken with the wonderfully seasoned flavor of the original Chicken Shack."

"I came here instead of going to the Popeyes across the street based on the ratings alone. I'm glad I did. Chicken Shack has a MUCH better atmosphere as the employees actually seem to want your business. I would highly recommend this establishment over other choices. The chicken is made fresh to order. We had a large order and a bit of a wait time. No problem. That's the definition of "made to order". The manager added an order of onion rings, Cole slaw and two small drinks as an appreciation/comp. I will be back here again."
