"Having doubts about transferring my daughters to this school already. True enough it’s the first day of school, but how did my 7 year olds end up on the wrong bus and school staff walked them to the bus. I’m extremely concerned and patiently awaiting their arrival back to the school from whatever bus stop they were taken to. The school staff didn’t even have a record of their bus schedule, including what bus they were on, nor the drop off location. Very inconveniencing and unprofessional so far. Transportation with this school has yet to get better. Now they have changed the pick up times for the students in the middle of the week without informing the parents. I have never had this many issues with a school until I transferred my children to ABT. Update: Transportation is still as horrible as it was when my girls first started. Wh are parents being told to pick children up from bus stop at 2:50 and bus driver pulls off from the stop at 2:35?"
"I went there in 2004 and 2005 now that I’m pregnant I will send my kids there. Dr.Merrit was the principal as well sweetest kind man ever, also love Mrs.Malik."
"Great as far as resources...academically in line with the rest of the area. A little uncomfortable and difficult requesting progress of grades. When I had a few talks with the teacher, I began to get some of what I was looking for. You have to be persistent. My child was evaluated for reading. Teacher says she has a disconnect with comprehension and her fluency. She reads just fine but when expected to recall and answer questions, there is a disconnect. She is supposed to be getting help with this but I am not sure if she is also being evaluated for other learning disadvantages that may be present. I expressed the need for assistance clarifying what the problem is and how to fix it when I first enrolled her. The only problem is they have moved the reading assessments from May 14th to April 30th at the last minute. Leaving no additional time to prepare. Again, with obtaining a plan of action and progress, you have to be persistent. I would recommend meeting all of your childrens instructors in order to ask these questions. All questions go through the homeroom teacher which is okay but it would be even better to know who is addressing the specific needs of your child."
"This is the worst school I have sent my child to thus far! The principal is a masagenistic pig who likes to antagonize children when their parents aren't around. He has a very foul disposition. My child's teacher is horrible at her job and refused to instruct my child and tells the other children not to talk to my child and gives them points for doing so. They have no problem solving strategies in place for academics and have stated that they DO NOT have time to cater to different learning styles. Your questions are never answered, but always deflected. If you as a parent challenge them in any way, ask in depth questions to try to get to the bottom of whatever issue your child may be having and the teacher or principal becomes offended, you better believe your child is going to pay academically and emotionally. Do Not send your children to this school, you will be regretful; easily the worst decision I've made on my child's behalf."
"2012-2015 Is our second year with our kids attending ABT!! We LOVE the school, we LOVE the teachers and this year seems like it will be better than last!!!! Traffic here is MUCH better than many other schools I have seen!"
