"This is my kids 1st year here and so far I don’t like it!!! I have reached out to the principal four times (emails and voicemails) with two incidents regarding my oldest. She has yet to call or email me back from September!!! The Dean of middle school is very unprofessional and rude! A substitute teacher threaten my child but will not meet with me nor will the school set up a meeting, after she falsely accused my son of bullying a kid. The kid told the teacher and Dean that it wasn’t my son and I have a recording of the kid saying it wasn’t my child but no apology, no call home, nothing!!! Also, The social studies teacher is also the basketball coach and athletic director. He shows favoritism to three students! One which includes another staff member child!!! I’ve reached out to NHA head quarters and have been keeping a paper trail to back up my concerns. I don’t recommend this school at all! Disappointed and frustrated that i chose this school for my kid to finish 8th grade."

"I wouldn’t recommend ANYONE putting their child in this school. It’s very unorganized and unprofessional. Teachers dressed in any clothing they wanted , students weren’t disciplined when bullying other children. My child was being bullied and I’ve contacted the school several times about it and nothing was done. My daughter learned absolutely NOTHING! Teachers are more focused on gossip between other parents and other staff more than teacher their own students."

"So far we have not had good results with this school. This is my grandkids third year and it seems to be getting progressively worse. Unfortunately, we are trying to work with the school to iron out the details of what is creating the less than positive situation involving the leadership, teachers, and the communication necessary to have the best possible educational experience for my grandkids. I am an educator myself and I know that there are some serious issues within this publicly and grant funded school. I will be posting an update once we are able to present our case to whomever will listen and offer assistance so that we may have a better, happier, and more productive year."

"This year the school is more unorganized than before. Sending your children to this school is like sending them to a public school. You think your children is getting a better education being at a charter school but they don’t care about these kids. Every year this school gets worse especially now with the new principal. I’ll rather pay for my kid’s education than depend on the state of Michigan department of education. As long as it’s free and they’re salary wages are there….they don’t really care about the colored kids and that’s where the problem is!"

"It's not the school it's the staff & some of the teachers! My daughter went here for Kindergarten & 1st grade. In Kindergarten she had Mrs. Eaton she was not a pleasant person she definitely wasn't a welcoming teacher, terrible attitude & she always had something negative to say about my daughter. In 1st grade my daughter was virtual she had Mrs. Kazyak she was an awesome teacher yes virtually you can just feel her energy, she was always sweet, caring & thoughtful my daughter loved her. The new gym teacher Ms. Erica Blake virtually she is terrible, she has a nasty attitude & always had something negative to say nothing was ever good enough like hello the kids are at home not really in gym class you can't expect them to do cartwheels. The staff Mrs. Kinnison she is about as ignorant as they come I don't know how she still has a job or even haven't been smacked by anyone yet because she alone will definitely make you not want your child to attend this school. So yeah my child will not be attending this school for 2nd grade goodbye."
