"We were seeing a show at the local Miller Auditorium and were looking for a place to eat before our show. We found this place by accident and we were very happy we did. The food and service were both excellent. We got garlic bread with marinara for an appetizer and it was really good. The bread wasn’t hard and wasn’t soft. A joy to share and eat. 3 of us got personal pizzas and my father in law got lasagna rolls. I had the hot honey special pizza which had honey and goat cheese crumbles on it which really had a great flavor. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the great service we received. When I’m back in Kalamazoo I know exactly where I will be dining at again!"

"I loved my dish, the tortellini with meatballs, but my partner got sick from the food, which cut our vacation short. He had one of the shrimp pasta dishes. It could have been an honest mistake or maybe his stomach just didn't agree. If you eat here, I recommend their patio seating. We sat inside which was ok, but when I saw the patio seating it looked cool. It's enclosed, so it makes it easier. I'd be willing to give this place another shot, but we would probably stay away from any shrimp dish just in case."

"From start to finish a meal at Comensoli’s rivals anything we have had on the Hill in St. Louis. An extensive wine and cocktail menu which includes some excellent Italian wines. We had the Burrata and Tomato starter. This eatery makes their own sausage and sauces so we made sure to try their signature pasta that includes them. Also had the Chicken Piccata and it was done to perfection with sides of tender rosemary roasted potatoes and balsamic glazed carrots. Had to try the the dessert so I took home a slice of the limoncello cream cake. At last we have found what will be our go-to Italian eatery in Kalamazoo! Will definitely be returning again soon!"
