"I was so impressed with the quality of my meal. I requested medium rare burger and I can honestly say this burger is the best I have ever had eating out! The quality of beef outstanding and was made perfectly as requested. My server McKenzie was so up beat, bubbly, friendly, positive, was very confident in her position. This was just outstanding all around. Thank you chef and McKenzie Great work!"
"Got my burger and had a staple in the pickles. Gross!! Said they had no idea how it got there, must have come from the pickle jar. They got a new plate but no compensation or even a sorry. Will not go back."
"Great restaurant. Awesome cheerful service, with very, very good food. Everything we tried was delicious. That's a hard thing to say in this day and age. Soup was great, burger was juicy and cooked perfect, even the appetizer platter was tasty.. we will definitely be coming back here. If you have a choice between anywhere else and Holly's... Come to Holly's."
"My friend kept suggesting we try this place but it didn’t look very inviting from the outside so I kept suggesting other places every time we went out. Then someone gave my husband and I a gift to go on a date and go out to eat. He then suggested Holly’s so I agreed. We were seated and waited 30 minutes for someone to take our drink order. By the time they did, I had already decided on what I wanted to eat so I placed my food order as well. I had found a sandwich on the menu with avocado and I was eager to try it. However, when it arrived there was no avocado on it. We tried to flag down the waitress but we couldn’t get her attention. Then we tried to wave down another employee walking by but they looked at us and then kept walking. So my husband asked the bus boy if he could get our waitress from the back. When she came back I informed her that there was no avocado on the sandwich, and she said she’d go get some. She seemed kind of put off by my request so my husband didn’t mention that his cheeseburger was cold and the cheese wasn’t even melted. The waitress came back and put a plate of brown and rotten avocado slices on the table and walked away. I wanted to just leave right then, but I kinda didn’t want to ruin the date night or be a “Karen”. So, I pushed the plate away and was just going to eat the sandwich without it. She came back after a bit, looked at the plate of avocado slices, and asked if everything was okay. I replied, “Not really. These are all brown.” She said, “I’ll go see if they have a different one.” She brought back a plate with fresh avocado slices (all green, not any brown spots), set it on the table, and walked away. She didn’t offer an apology, and she didn’t ask if these were better or acceptable, and she didn’t offer to comp or reduce the price of the meal. Neither one of us were hungry after that. His sandwich was cold and tasted off, he paid extra for fries instead of the potato chips that came with the sandwich and they were cold too, there was a hair in my sandwich, and then the avocado debacle. Between that and the obvious attitude from the waitress, we just asked for our check and left. I kinda wish I spoke up and suggested we try the new mushroom Swiss burger at BK, or asked that we pick up some deli items and just had a “car picnic” at the beach so we could watch the waves. I will next time."
"The renovation is nice. And the food is consistent as far as seasoning and portions. Never a disappointment at Holly's. The fried green beans and mushroom appetizers were delicious."
