"This time, we ordered pickup. Took them a very long time to realize I was there, and for a pizza and side of chilli, it was over 44.00. I couldn't believe it, but I thought, ok... pizza is probably really good. No, it was definitely nothing to write home about, and the toppings were sparse. It's a nice place, but I'll definitely go elsewhere. Their menu on here is about half of what they actually charge..."

"Love this locally owned restaurant. It never disappoints. They have the best stuffed pepper soup! You gotta order the tomato cheese garlic bread for an appetizer. My husband had the prime rib and said it was both tender and juicy. The service has always been great as well. Our dinner was all around phenomenal!"

"I was in the area for a work assignment, and I had the great opportunity to visit Hammers in Michigan City. It was a busy Saturday night, but we were greeted by a very lovely hostess as well as the owner, Sheri. The atmosphere is lovely; the bar area was warm and inviting and there was a great space outside for people to gather and eat. This is the kind of place that still hand writes the specials on a chalkboard for the customers. Everything we had was delicious; we had the baked meatballs and cheese garlic bread as an appetizer. I enjoyed a half a rack of ribs and French onion soup. my coworker had the lasagna, and raved about it. all of the servers were affable, efficient, and pleasant. When we arrived, it was rather busy, but the owner herself brought our drinks to our table so that we would not have to wait too long. This establishment, Hammers in Michigan City, owned by Sheri and Ken Larson, is a must visit! Highly recommend."
