"Bartlett's Fish Camp, a coveted spot I'd been eager to try for brunch, proved to be worth every moment of anticipation. With a reputation built on pleasant dinner experiences, the brunch was an absolute revelation, offering a harmony of taste, ambiance, and service that made our Sunday morning outing a resounding success. The seafood-centric menu was a delight, particularly for my pescatarian companion. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, offering a cornucopia of flavors that made choosing our menu selections an exciting endeavor. Our gastronomic journey was made even better by a flow of refreshing mimosas, served by our attentive and wonderful waitress, adding a sparkling touch to our brunch experience. We started our meal with a sublime Shrimp and Crab dip paired with a roasted baguette, a flavorful warm-up to the culinary delights that awaited us. For our main entrees, we opted for a Croque Madam sandwich and a Harvest Hash bowl. Both dishes were generous in portion and scored a slam dunk in taste and presentation. No brunch outing would be complete without a sweet finish, and Bartlett's did not disappoint. A key lime pie from the local Bowler Man bakery was the perfect ending to our meal, its tangy sweetness leaving us completely satisfied. In terms of timing, while the 11 am opening might seem late for a traditional brunch, it perfectly suited our relaxed Sunday, giving us the luxury to sleep in and start our day with a leisurely pace. I can confidently say that Bartlett's Fish Camp has earned a spot in our brunch rotation. The exquisite food, friendly service, and comfortable atmosphere combined to create a brunch experience that was nothing short of perfect. We will most certainly be back to savor more of their delicious offerings, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a seafood brunch that truly sets the bar high."
"It could have been an excellent experience. Our party of 5 went last Sunday for a late lunch. We were immediately seated inside however, they don't seat you by the bar when not all members of your party are 21+. We had the bloody mary which was a delicious drinkable snack. It had celery, olives and a large cocktail shrimp. We ordered lobster mac n cheese - hearty portion, salmon tagine - cooked to perfection, shrimp and grits - too salty, scallop bucatini - most excellent white sauce I've ever had and my poorly executed grouper sandwich. First I ordered it sauteed but it was delivered fried, burnt and overdone. It was tough and dry, totally unappetizing. It was for this reason that my review is only 2 stars. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the sandwich but it was not willingly taken back to the kitchen. I didn't want this to be blamed on the waitress alone. Not sure who/where it got messed up. And BTW, my dish came after all my friends have nearly finished with their meals. I am sorely disappointed :("
"We went to this place in 2018 and I didn't think we would ever go back. We honestly didn't think they'd last because the atmosphere, service and food were all disappointing and the food was overpriced for the quality. HOWEVER.... we gave it another chance in July of 2023 and what a very different experience! The clam strips were the best I've ever had anywhere, ever! I also got the fried shrimp platter and it was decent, but probably still a little over priced. (9 shrimp, some frozen fries and a tiny plastic cup of slaw for $24?!) It was definitely better though and we will go back again. Tables by the windows or outside give a nice view of Lake Michigan and the Yacht Club."
"The service was great . But the seafood bolognese wasnt edible. Super salty and nasty! I had to force myself to try to eat it but I couldn’t. The peel & eat shrimp was good/fresh. And the 4 oysters were amazing. Although $14 for just 4 basic oysters were kind of ridiculous . My husband had an alcoholic drink. Bourbon, blackberry, smash honestly taste like Pine-Sol and he didn’t even drink it and he’s not picky at all. His gumbo was mediocre at best. Super over priced and we love to spoil ourself at nice restaurant but this place isn’t it."
"Bacon cheeseburger and fries were excellent along with the drinks. I even tried octopus and I'm not a seafood guy. I was there with my girlfriend who loves it so even a nonseafood person can tell you that the octopus was good."
