"My husband and I love trying new places so we decided to go look for a restaurant that has delicious fried chicken. When we got to the location, there’s no parking for the establishment. So we had to park across the street and pay $8.36 for two hrs. That automatically adds into how much we’re spending on our meal as far as that goes. Service is great but the wait is long. We ordered the 4 piece hot chicken with 2 sides. I chose the Macaroni & Cheese + Mashed Potatoes with gravy. The chicken is a large portion. The flavor was good, spicy and hot BUT too greasy. The 2 sides weren’t too bad but would’ve like the Mac n cheese to be cheesier. I didn’t bother taking the rest of my leftover home. This is the greasiest fried chicken I’ve ever had and was truly disappointed. Won’t be coming again and our quest for the best chicken in Grand Rapids will continue. Adios"

"Great food and atmosphere at Hancock! We both had the hot chicken sandwich, which was very tasty. I appreciated that the spice was actually cooked into the chicken and not just an added sauce. We also had the crush puppies and jalapeño corn bread which were both delicious - highly recommend both. I enjoyed their strawberry cocktail, similar to a spiked strawberry lemonade, and it kept good flavor all the way to bottom. I also have to give kudos to a place that has both adult drinks and a place for kids to play. Lovely for parents, like myself, to have an enjoyable evening out."
