"I'm giving a 2 because the Elementary part of Eagle Crest is great. I would recommend. HOWEVER Middle School I would not recommend to anyone!! My son has been there the whole time. As we get ready to close this chapter all I can think of is exclusion. If your child struggles with anything, whether it be academically, emotionally, or mentally they will be discriminated against and excluded!!!"
"I honestly hate this school. Kids having to do timeouts in the front of the class, missing recess for not tying their shoes before it was over and not getting help to tie them so they don’t have to miss recess, having accidents because they aren’t allowed to use the bathroom other than at certain times (kindergarten and 1st graders) and using a class app that you have to pay $7.99 a month for, poor communication. My daughter has missed the bus when there was a substitute because it wasn’t relayed that the student rode the bus."
"I have graduated from this school and my two other sisters have and I can say that my year was the last good year, Eagle Crest had. The office lady’s they are so rude, I went to the school to bring lunch to my brother that currently goes there, I went inside and said “ Hi this is lunch for _____” she said “ Oh do want to leave it here” I said “ Yes” this is what made me very angry “ oh okay we will try out best”. What does we will try out best mean? My brother does not have a lunch, so you are saying he might not eat lunch today? They also just treat people different from how they look. If I was dressed nice and formal I know for a fact her whole attitude would have changed."
"The best school I have sent my children too! Teachers are the best! Wish Eagle Crest can have high schoolers. Even if my kids were grown. I would support it!"
"I am here to give my honest opinion so maybe just one person can skip the issues my family has had with this school. I would also like to add everyone's views are different and just because I feel this way does not mean you will too I encourage everyone to continue to research and speak to others at this school before making any final judgments. My child has been going here for over 5 years and at first coming from a public school I thought this was going to be the best choice I have ever made from my child!!! The principle at the time was awesome she didn't come out of her office very much but the school was VERY well ran. There are VERY caring teachers who have come and gone but the ones that are still their ie Mrs. Marcus, Mrs. Riewald , Mrs. Kempf , Mrs. Conley Mrs. Lacroix are some of the very BEST you will ever get to meet they go above and beyond any teacher I have ever seen they truly care for your children. I have really struggled with removing my child from this school because of the teachers but it has come to the point I can no longer keep my child there because of how the school is now being ran. To start with the new principle does not care about class size he is more worried about getting school funds and even with all of the extra funds will not help get some type of transportation for the kids to and from school which means the parking lot is a nightmare and school activities are a joke because everyone is forced to sit on top of each other and thats if your lucky enough to find a spot to park to be able to attend. Also the school is NOT SANITEZED and this year alone it is so bad staff has had to miss because of the sickness being passed around and I know parents who have offered to come in and clean because they are worried about their kids being sick and having to miss so much school but the school maintains that they wipe everything down the best they can....The school also insists that if your child is sick and has a fever don't send them to school but don't miss because they will threaten truancy on you and after 8 missed days will (even if you call to excuse them)send a case to the truancy department. It does not matter to this school if your child is sick or even hospitalized they better show up because the school needs their money. I personally know people that this has happened to good parents not the kind that don't care about their kids education or how much their children miss, they are the kind that care enough about the well being of not only their children but the well being of others in that school enough to risk being put in the situation to even have to deal with truancy officers it is VERY sad. And the school claims to have a zero tolerance policy but I went to see my child at school during recess and I thought I was in a bar or night club somewhere because of the vulgar mouth some of these kids had and there were monitors right there but they were to busy talking amongst their self to even care what was going on around them, I'm not naïve I know at some point most children will use that language with their peers but to yell out f you across the yard is totally uncalled for and this is something my child has told me happens often. These are just some of the reasons I have made the choice that my child will no longer be going to this school, if you are considering bringing your child here for a change from public school I urge you to research other school's because in my book this school should not be considered a charter school there is no difference they can offer you anymore what was once so great about this school and what set them apart is GONE!!!"
