"Hope wasn’t all bad but they didn’t take my mental health seriously so it began to deteriorate. I was hospitalized twice my freshman year. I just remember one night I swallowed a bunch of pills and my group project was due the next day and I obviously didn’t do any work because I was going through it and my professor and group partner had no sympathy and called me lazy. My teacher never asked me what I was going through. Rumors began to spread and all of my “friends” started to ignore me and laugh as I walked past, calling me names under their breath. The help I did receive was from the therapists on campus but you could tell they didn’t really know what to do with me. I transferred but that year still sticks with me as one of the worst years of my life."
