Dallys Puppies

"I got my maltipoo from Dallys in October 2020 after about 6mo of searching for the right breeder.  Dally’s website and professional email responses to my questions are what pulled me in at first. The most of the check boxes in what to look for in breeders provided by the AKC were checked off with Dally’s and I was excited leading up to the time of pick up. The truth really came out after I picked him up.  Three months later, I found myself still covering the cost for vet visits, tests and medications. Despite Dally’s health guarantee stating that puppies are guaranteed in good health and dewormed, he came home diagnosed by the vet with parasites that I had to treat (and that can be transferred to humans), an ear infection in both ears that have finally healed after 3mo and an open fontanel (which are common in Maltese breeds, but this absolutely should be disclosed to buyers for the sake of transparency). I later learned in email communications that he was never examined by a vet prior to coming home! At the price point that Dally’s list their puppies, you’d expect that they are examined by a vet to ensure their promised health guarantee and that you know exactly what you are getting. I brought this to the breeder’s attention and they refused to take ownership of the fact that he was not in good health, would not support in compensating for the vet bills at the very least and went further to judge that I would be a bad owner and they should not have sold to me.  If they truly were concerned that I was a bad owner, they would have asked for the puppy to be returned. I don’t find myself in situations where I feel the need to write a review (this is actually my first review ever written). However, I strongly believe in doing what’s right. In this situation, all I was looking for was some ownership and at the very least help with covering vet bills for visits and medications. Unfortunately, I got neither. To be clear, I love my pup very much and would do ANYTHING he needed to keep him well.  I gave an extra star only because he did come home well behaved, easy to train at the time and with no issues taking to his crate. I’ve been asked by numerous people for my breeder’s information after they meet my pup, but I can’t get myself to recommend Dally's."
